Happy Birthday!

Hello there! I sat down this morning to make a birthday card for a friend.  She has put out a request for cards for a young man who is about to spend his birthday in the hospital.  Since I make cards I got right to the task! :)  To me a card is like a paper hug!  It is just a small gesture, but one that I think can mean so much to someone.  Here is the paper hug I will be sending:

I am not sure how old the recipient even is, but I figured this would be a safe color scheme and theme!

I embossed the background (which is actually an old envelope that I re-puposed and used the Decorative Label punch (cut in half) to matte the image onto.  I colored Rhinestones with a Sharpie to add that extra little something and raised the sentiment with Dimensionals.

The Details:
Stamps: Moving Forward (retired) and Itty Bitty Banners
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Coastal Cabana, In Color DSP and Very Vanilla
Ink: Pacific Point
Punches and Dies: Decorative Label Punch, Alphabet EF and Itty Bitty Banner Framelits
Extras: Rhinestones and Dimensionals

Also, would you like to see another picture of two of the grand pumpkin?! :)

Maybe I am a little biased, but I happen to think that the cute-ness is off the scale!! She is really just the sweetest little thing!  She had her first check up and has grown already!  She has totally figured out the whole eating,  pooping and wrapping every one around her little fingers thing!

Ok, oodles to do today!  Thank you for stopping by!  I love to have visit time with you!  Have a great day and let's plan another visit for tomorrow! :)  Much love!

Envelope punch board, a tree and a great big ole' yawn!!

Hello there!  How are you?! I have lots to share with you today!!  The first thing is a fun envelope punch board project.  Also,  another picture of our new little Miss and a pretty Fall tree!  I made this mini album before our grand pumpkin was born, but I knew exactly what pictures I would be filling it with!  I have not quite filled all the pages, but I wanted to go ahead and share it with you!

Here is the album all closed up.  Eventually I will stamp her name and add some pretty little daisies to this page!  If you would like I can share that with you once it is done!

Here is the album front all opened up!  It props up and stands on its own! (I took the picture upside down, so feel free to stand on your head to get a better idea of how it actually works!) LOL

This is the back side.  Still have to add more photos and some embellishments!  I made it by making four envelopes and adhering the top (fold down) flap to the envelope beside it.  Then I covered each front and back with card stock.  Each envelope is open and holds a pull out tag for more pictures or journaling!  Fun, fun little project! :)

Here is another picture of our little sweetie!  Such a big yawn for such a tiny little person!!

Finally, I thought I would share a picture of my very favorite tree!  This is in our front yard and I just love it! Leaves have all turned and are making their way to the ground, but I still think it is just beautiful!

I better scoot so I can get something accomplished today!  Hope your day has been full of wonderful!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

ABC Challenge!

Hello there!  How long have you been stamping?  I bought my very first stamp set over 7 years ago and it started my whole crazy obsession with rubber stamping!  It only took that one set to totally hook me!  I bought it, inked it up, stamped it on everything I could find to stamp it on and never looked back.  Do you remember what your first set or single stamp was?  Mine was called Flakey Friends. Ah...fond memories!   Today's fun challenge  over at ABC Challenges is to dig out one of your oldest stamp sets and make something new with it!  Here is my new card, with my very, very old stamp set!

I fell head over heels for that funny bunch of snow people and thought I couldn't live without them!  Aren't they just the cutest, coolest (total pun intended!) snow crew ever?!

Several of the items I used to make my new old card have long retired, so I won't post details this time. I am happy to answer any questions you may have though!  Just shoot an email my way!

I hope that you will drag out some of your oldies, but goodies and blow off that layer of dust and make something fun and amazing!  We would love to have you play along with us over at ABC Challenges!  I look forward to seeing you there!

Christmas card Sunday!

Hello!  Today is Sunday and that means it is time for another Christmas card!  We are up to number 42!  I am just in awe that time is going by so fast!  Seems like this year was just getting started and now it is time to start thinking about the holidays already!  There are already oodles of Christmas things being displayed in the stores!   Yikes!!  Fa, la, la, la, la, la, la, laaaaaaa!   Here is my card for this week:

I used the Illuminate pad to make snowflakes on the background pages.  I was a little uncertain about stamping the big snowflake in blue given the card colors, but then I decided why not throw caution into the wind and just go for it!  LOL

The Details:
Stamps: Snowflake Soiree
Paper: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and Silver Glimmer paper
Ink: Soft Suede, Marina Mist and Illuminate pad
Punches and Dies: None
Extras: Rhinestones

Couple more weeks of cards and I will have met the challenge! Wooo hoooo!  Getting awfully close!  Pretty pleased about that!!  On another happy note, the kids brought our beautiful little Grand Pumpkin home today!  They are all doing well.  SOOOOO happy to have them here!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!  I will be back soonest!

Oh the cuteness!!

Hello!  I would love to share my latest crafty creation with you today, but I didn't make a single thing!  Instead we went back to the hospital to soak up more of our precious grand pumpkin!  She is simply the cutest little Miss!!  Speaking of which, I have a couple more photos to share with you today!

She spent most of our visit snoozing, but that was just fine!  She is a good little sleeper!

It is crazy to be so in love with someone you just met, but goodness am I ever smitten!!  Everyone kept telling me that I would melt once I met her!  It is so true...I am a useless puddle!  She is simply amazing!

I snuck this sweet photo of a quiet moment the new parents were sharing for their scrapbook.  I am so excited for them and quite proud!  They have done an amazing job so far and I just know that they are going to be wonderful parents!

Ok, another long day around here so I am going to call it a night!  I will be back soonest with something creative to share, I promise!  Until then have a wonderful day!

We have a baby!!!

I am so excited to announce that we have a baby!!  Our grand pumpkin was born today at 12:58 am!  She weighed an even 8 pounds and is 20.5" long and is absolutely beautiful!  Mom and Dad are both doing well, but are exhausted!  It has been a long couple of days! I am incredibly proud of them though. They have both done an amazing job.  I have a few photos to share today, but you can bet there will be more to follow!

This is my son with his daughter minutes after she was born.

Here she is getting her very first shampoo!  She was bright eyed and very perky!

My son watching the nurse clean her up.

Right after her bath!

The nurse held her up for us to admire!

She is just so sweeeeet! :)

Going to keep this brief tonight as we are all worn out, but I will be back soonest with more to share.

Have a great night!

Really, really big favor!!!

Hi there.  I have a really big favor to ask of you guys.  We found out recently that one of our dear family friends has had a terrible thing happen.  They are a wonderful , large family that live here in our community.   They have 12 children!  One of their son's was in a construction accident recently. He fell 25 feet from a roof onto a concrete slab.  He has bruising on both sides of his brain, broken ribs, clavicle, pelvis and many internal injuries to his organs.  He has contracted pneumonia as well.  He is only 20 years old.  We have known this young man and his family for many years.  He was one of my Cub Scouts when I ran our local pack, he has been on my soccer teams (when I coached!) and they have been in our home school group.  I cannot think of many worse things than watching your child sick or in pain and standing by feeling helpless.  My heart is breaking for him and his family.  I would really like to arrange a card flood for them!  It think it would be helpful to them to know that people are pulling for them and cheering him on.  Would you please consider sending a card (or two!) to Noah and the family wishing them positives thoughts?  If you would like to send a card please e mail me and I will share my address. My email addy is: annmariebryant13@gmail.com   I will be compiling a box for them and sending them several cards at once.  Thank you so very, very much!!!

This is my card for you to say thank you for sending Noah a card! :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

With much love!

Baby news!

Hello!  No baby yet!!  We have had some extenuating circumstances that have delayed the arrival of our grand pumpkin!  My son, the daddy-to-be, has been under the weather, so they decided to postpone the induction date by a few days.  We are all hoping (fingers and toes crossed!!)  that my son will be on his feet again and past the contagious phase so he can be present at the birth of his baby.  We have all been just crushed feeling at the thought of him missing the big event.  Now, if the little Miss will only cooperate and be patient for just a couple more days!  I made my kiddo a feel better soon card to speed up the process!

I hate when my kids don't feel well!  Please keep your fingers crossed for a quick recovery for him!

The Details:
Stamps: Tag It
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla
Ink: Early Espresso
Punches and Dies: Misc Circle punches, Decorative Label Punch and Square Lattice EF
Extras: None

Have a great day! I will be back soonest with more to share!

ABC Challenge!

Hello and happy Monday!  No baby news yet, but I promise to share some as soon as I have it!  I do have an ABC Challenge card to share with you today though!  This was a fun one!  You are supposed to use 3 shapes (same or different...up to you!), 2 DSP's and 1 ribbon!  Sound challenging?!  It was,  but it was fun too!  Here is my card for the challenge:

I used the rose stamp from Oh, Hello!  I used markers to color it!  My DSP's are from the same package so the colors are the same and my shapes are punched from the Designer Label Punch. My ribbon is a tiny little knot right in the center!

I must say this is not a card I think I would have made if not challenged to do so!  That is why these challenges are so great!  They get you creating outside of your comfort zone box!!

The Details:
Stamps: Oh, Hello!
Paper: Whisper White, Blushing Bride and In Color DSP
Ink: Rose Red and Always Artichoke
Punches and Dies: Designer Label Punch
Extras: 1/4" Ribbon

Come on over to ABC Challenges and play along!  We would love to have you! :)

I will post some baby news as soon as I have some!  Have a great day!

Hello!  Phew what a day full of whirl wind emotions we have had around here!!  My son and his sweetie are due to head to the birthing center tonight to be induced!  Our little grand pumpkin is now one week past her due date so it is time!  I am nervous and excited and petrified and nervous........did I mention nervous?!  I  will of course share some details once I have them! :)

I do have a Christmas card to share with you today!  Want to see?

I used the Santa stamp from the Tag It set!  The sentiment is from Snowy Day.  I stamped the snowflakes in Classic White ink and added a little dab of Dazzling Diamonds to the centers. (which I don't think you can see from the picture, but it is pretty!)

He is such a cute Santa! :)  He looks to me like he is ready to give a big hug!

The Details:
Stamps: Tag It and Snowy Day
Paper: Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White and Always Artichoke
Punches and Dies: None
Extras: Dazzling Details

Ok, well I am off to visit with the family before we head out tonight!  I would love it if you would think virtual happy baby vibe thoughts for my kids!  Thanks so much!

Friend...

Hey there!  Hope you are enjoying the weekend so far.  I have a quick card to share with you today.  It was inspired by friendship. I have a couple of dear friends that are struggling with some pretty big life challenges right now.  I wish with everything I had that I could make things better for them. They are on my mind and so when I sat down to create today this is what I came up with.

Lots going on here!  Pink, white and gray, embossing, punches and all dressed up in it's finest pearls!

I did a little bit of sponging too!

Close up of the main image.  The stamped label tucked behind there is from the Chalk Talk stamp set.  I stamped it and cut it in half.

Better scoot!  Lots  going on here today!  Have a good weekend!
