More Paper Pumpkin fun!

Hello there!  Fall is definitely in the air this week and I am loving it!  It is such a nice, comfortable time of the year!  The leaves are turning into works of art and the air just feels so crisp and nice! That is part of the reason I was so excited to see a Fall themed PP kit this month!   I am enjoying the kit so much!!  It is just such a great combo of products. So, I made another card yesterday and thought I'd share it with you!

I added a few extras to this card!  The background texture comes from the Cable knit sweater Embossing Folder.  I cannot say enough about that thing!  It really makes a very sharp, crisp image that almost leaves you feeling hugged!!  I added the heart from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits set and sponged the punched leaf from the PP kit.  I punched the small circles from a standard office supply hole punch out of our gorgeous Gold Glimmer paper and layered everything else in a big ole' pile!

I used the background paper that the die cut label punches came out of to make the shaker part of the card. Never throw away your scraps! :)  it is full of the pretty sequins from the kit.  Have  mentioned that I am loving this kit?!

Here is a picture of the background piece that I used:

I used the piece on the end!  I cut it off and cut the window sheet down to size and glued it to the back side.  Then I added the foam strips and poured in the sequins. I stamped a piece of Very Vanilla scrap with the crackle stamp from the PP kit and stuck it to the foam strips creating the shaker element.

Here are the supplies I used to create this card:

Ok, I am off to work on my To Do list!  Have a great day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Fall in love with Paper Pumpkin!!

Helloooo!  My oh my oh my!!!  Have you seen the October Paper Pumpkin kit?!!  *Swoooons!*  It is absolutely stunning!  I do happen to be a sucker for all things Fall, but this kit is over the top Fall!  It makes 8 beautiful Fall shaker cards!!  It comes with an awesome stamp set, a chocolate chip ink spot and 3 bags of beautiful, sparkly sequins!!  Be still my heart!!  I opened my box and sat down immediately to make one of the cards!  I normally pull the kits all apart and make several different things from them, but this month's may stay in tact and get used for it's intended purpose!!  Here is my fun, sparkly fall card:

There are 3 different sizes of sequins!  Notice that each cut out leaf is a different color and has a pretty crackle background? There are 5 different sentiments in the stamp set plus that crackle stamp!  Did I mention over the top?!

It also comes with the foam strips you need to build the structure of the shaker kit and the die cut banners and labels shapes.

Close up of the shaker leaves.

I don't know about you, but I hate to waste anything.  I try to always take a look at the packaging and see if it can be used as well to craft.  I thought the shapes around the labels from the sheet they were attached to had possibility!  I like to add fun little shapes behind things to create a layered look.  Here are the shapes I mean:

You can cut these off and use them for these cards or on another project!  Fun! :)

Here is what you can make with this months kit:

Ok, I am off to play more with these cards!  If you are interested in signing yourself up for a subscription to My Paper Pumpkin I'll include a link here for you!  You can get a monthly kit full of fun goodies too!

Have a wonderful day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Foxy friends

Hey there sweet peeps!  I have a 3 x 3 note card to share with you today. I love, love, love making these little guys!!  They are perfect for a quick hello, a tucked in note or a simple thank you!!  They are quick to make and so much fun to hand out!  Take a look at this adorable little guy:

Is that not too much happy in a 3 x 3 package, or what?! LOL That little fox is so sweet. He is stamped in Pumpkin Pie with Cajun Craze tootsies. I hand cut a little banner and tucked in half of a circle punch to create some visual interest.

The little fox is popped up on dimensionals.  I wanted to card to have a Fall feel, but not be covered in leaves, so I kept the colors warm and inviting!  I think it just screams sit down and have a piece of pumpkin pie with me!

Here are the products I used to make this card.  You can click on any picture to head straight to my online store and pick up anything you may need for your collection!

I plan to spend some time making a bunch of these 3 x 3 cuties soon!  You should try some too.  I'd love to see what you come up with!

Have a great Thursday!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Card with a twist!

Hello there!  Been a nutty couple of days, but I am back with a really, really (did I mention really?!) fun card to share with you!  Have you seen the twist pop up cards floating around all over the place lately?  At first glance they look like an ordinary card, but when you open them they twist and pop a surprise at you!  Here is the card I made using this technique:

The new Holiday catalog is full of really great Christmas stamp sets!  I couldn't narrow it down to one, so I used several on this card!

This card can lay flat or be displayed in a standing position.  Now for the fun...

Opening the card this is what you see!  It's like Christmas magic!!

The more you open it the fuller it becomes!!

Lots of room to stamp, add sentiments, pictures or write your message!

Adding pictures to the four litle panels would turn this card into a wonderful little mini album!

Lots to look at on this card!

Here it is completely open.  When you are ready to close it the whole thing just neatly folds back into itself!  Honestly, it is almost as much fun to close it as it is to open!

Here are the supplies I used to make this card:

Hope that you are having a good week! I will be back soonest with more to share!
