Soccer time!

My hubby and I coordinate soccer in our community! It is a big job and requires a ton of organization! Since I lack that I have to go to great measures to make it all happen! : ) I try to keep all of my notes in one place and so decided to give my little notebook a face lift! I took a standard sized composition notebook and covered it front and back with this really sporty soccer paper from Hot Off the Presses. (LOVE their paper!!) I added some fun pink ribbon and then tied a couple of extra miscellaneous pieces of ribbon on for color. I used Basic Black and Very Vanilla card stock and Basic Black ink. I used the Whimsical Alphabet set from Stampin' Up! to give the journal a title and added a few shiny silver brads. This journal will take a lot of abuse between now and the end of the season, but will make me smile every time I make a new note!
I will be making a second one to keep all of my Home School notes in soon! : )

...and the back!

This is the back side of the notebook!

Flowers for a friend!

I have this friend who balances me out quite well! She is one of my partners in crime when it comes to running our local home school group! She helps me to keep perspective most days! LOL When I come bouncing in with another off the wall idea she is the first one to say, "Hmmmm...maybe we should do it this way...!" Anyways, she made herself a planning calendar/book, but left the front completely blank?! Blank?! I couldn't stand it so I made her a cover! I used Stampin' Up's Orchid Opulence, Basic Black and Very Vanilla card stock. I used Orchid Opulence, Elegant Eggplant, Handsome Hunter and Old Olive classic ink pads. I used the set Wild Rose from Stampin'Up! and a few silver brads to embellish! I paper pierced around the edges. I was pleased with the way it came out! She loves purple so it was a big hit! : )

Paper Toled Cows!!

I used the paper toling technique on this card! I stamped the cows and chickens three times and colored parts of each stamp and them layered pieces of the stamps on top of one another. It may be hard to see in the picture, but the cow is layered three times and the chickens two times! The cow and chicken stamp is from Penny Black and the butterfly is from Stampin' Ups! Priceless set. I used River Rock, Blue Bayou, Ballet Blue, Close to Cocoa and Very Vanilla cardstock from Stampin' Up. I paper pierced the strip of Ballet Blue on the top and bottom and added two pink flower brads. The butterfly is heat embossed with clear embossing powder! I will be sending this card out Monday as a RAK! This one was a lot of fun to make! The cute cow and chicken make me laugh every time I look at it! They just look so happy! : )

The finished product!

Here they are all altered!

Altered Mini Composition Notebooks!

I found these adorable mini composition notebooks at the dollar store!! $1.00 for three! They measure 3 1/4 X 4 1/2 and have 160 pages (80 sheets) in them! They are the perfect size for a purse.

I altered three of them last night! Two as thank you gifts for friends of mine and one for my youngest daughter! She loves bunnies and requested a new bunny notebook!

I covered them with pretty paper and wrapped a ribbon around the outside edge of each one. I stamped a rose from Stampin' Ups! Wild Rose set and the letter C on my friend Cindy's! I stamped the letter T and added a flower to my friend Treva's and I used a bunny stamp from Aanita's on my daughter's book!

This is what they looked like pre-altered! I put a Stampin' Up stamp pad in the photo to show the size of the notebooks.

And the last one!

...and finally the third angle! Guess I posted these backwards! Note to self...! LOL

Angle #2

From a different angle!

My first real post!

This is a basket that I made for my kid's adopted grandpa! I don't have the colors of card stock as the paper was from a generic pack! I used The Loads of Love stamp set from Stampin' Up! and markers from the Bold Brights family. I stamped the cute truck on two of the sides and attached origami shirts to the other two sides using a super cute stripety blue and green paper and made a tie that matched. I tied a blue and green polka dotted ribbon on top to pull it all together and filled it with candy! I got the pattern for the basket from my super sweet friend Kavi (Hi Kavi!!). Once I get the hang of this blog thing I will attempt to post a tutorial on it.
I will include two more pictures from different angles! This was a really fun project to make and so easy to throw together!

Another Test!

Just another test to make sure things are working! : )

Testing! Testing!

Testing 123!! Testing 123!! I did it! I did it! I set up my own blog by my self! That may not seem like a huge accomplishment to you, but for me it is major! LOL I feel so grown up now! :)
