Wild about you!

Hello there!  Hope your day is going well!  I have the sweetest little bear card to share with you today!  I just received my new Stampin' Up! order and in it was the most awesome set of Heart shaped Framelit dies ever!!  I was so excited about getting these things and couldn't wait to use them!  After I cut out one of the hearts I knew I needed something ridiculously adorable to plop right on top!  I searched through my stamp stash and this little guy won!!

Does he not just melt your heart into a big ole' pile of mush?!!  I sincerely heart him!!  To make my card today I started with a base of Bermuda Bay and then layered Calypso Coral and Very Vanilla on top.  Then I embossed a scrap of Bermuda Bay with the Basket Weave Embossing Folder (which was fru-eeeeeee with the Sale-A-Bration special going on right now!).  I cut out a heart from the Sweet and Sassy Framelits set and embossed it with the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder.

I added partial scallops and a circle and added my sentiment on top of it all.  The sweet bear and the sentiment are both from the stamp set A Little Wild.

Beach Sampler

Hello there!  I have a special project to share with you today! I have been working on this for a couple of days now and think I am finally finished with it!  Are you a beach person?!  I absolutely love the beach!!  I love it so much that hubby and I recently bought a place close to the sand and surf!  There is just something so calming and wonderful to me about the ocean!  On that note, let's get on to the project!

I was feeling inspired to create a piece of home decor with a beach theme. I pulled out all of my beach-y stamps and colors and just started playing around with them!  Here is what I came up with:

I just love the way samplers look.  They offer so much fun and variety!  Lots of details scrunched into a little bit of space! I used tons of different products to create this little guy, so rather than list things individually I will put a list at the end of the post.  If you have any questions though, please feel free to send me an email!

I kept the same color theme throughout the project!  I pulled colors from the room it will eventually be hanging in.  Mermaids are so magical and fun, so I wanted to be sure to include her in the mix!

Of course, you cannot have a beach themed project with a lighthouse!

Seashells are a must!

I have discovered being here and spending more time by the water that I really enjoy the birds!!  They are really neat creatures!!
