You are amazing!!

Hey there!  Happy weekend to you!  Hope yours is off to a great start! I have another quick and fun card to share with you today!  I used one of our Hostess stamp sets to make this one!  It is a set you can earn for free when you have a qualifying party!!  Gotta love that!!  Take a look:

My card base is Pool Party and my layers are Rose Red and Whisper White.  I used the Masking technique to make the flowers appear to be stacked on top of and behind one another.  If you have any questions about that technique let me know!  I embossed the card base using the Petal Pair embossing folders set.

I made the flower by punching and layering two Pansy punches and a 3/4" Circle punch.  I curled the edges of the top flower up with my bone folder and put a dimensional between the layers.  I tucked a leaf punch in Old Olive behind them to pull in the Old Olive from the stamped flowers. The flower center and small accents on the main image are punched from the Silver Glimmer paper. (I LOVE that stuff!)

Here are all of the goodies I used to create my card today:

I am off to get my weekend on!  Hope you have fun plans!!  I will be back soonest with more to share!  Have a super day!

Wishing you brighter days...

Hey there! Ever have a friend that is going through a tough time and it makes you feel sad?  That is exactly how I am feeling today.  It really stinks when someone that you care about is down and there isn't a whole lot you can do other than to let them know you love them and are around if they need you.  I think cards help! So, I made one for my friend and do hope that it helps to brighten their day!  Here is the card I made:

My card base is Pool Party and my layers are Whisper White,  Smoky Slate and a sheet from Naturally Eclectic DSP.  I added silver accents by punching a 1" Cirlce and two smaller circles using a standard hole punch.  I colored the image using the new Stampin' Blends. Those guys have been so popular that they are on backorder right now!!

Both the main image and the sentiment are from the stamp set Beautiful You.  I punched the sentiment out with a 1 1/2" Circle punch and matted it against a 1 3/4" Pool Party Circle punch. I just layered everything up and called it done!

Here is a linkable list to all of the goodies I used to create my card today:

Weekend is almost here!  Have any fun plans?  Be sure to pad in a little bit of time to be creative!  Stamp a card or make a scrapbook page or some other fun project!  Have a great day!  I will see you soon!

Coffee with a friend!

Hiya! Have you ever noticed that coffee tastes better with a friend?  Coffee dates with friends are always so much fun!  They give you a chance to catch up and discuss life and compare notes!  I just love coffee dates!  I made a coffee themed card and matching envelope today.  Take a look:

My card base is Soft Suede and my layers are the Coffee Break DSP, Crumb Cake and Whisper White. My sentiment and that oh so cute coffee cup are both from the stamp set Coffee Cafe.  I cut out the sentiment with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the coffee cup with the Coffee Cups Framelits.  The heart is cut out using the Sweet and Sassy Framelits.

Once I assembled my coffee cup I adhered it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I sponged the lid with Soft Suede to make it stand out a little bit.  I added a few Silver Glimmer dots using a standard hole punch.

I thought it would be fun to have a matching coffee stained envelope, so I whipped one of those up using the Envelope Punch Board.  They make a really cute little set!

Here are all of the goodies I used to create my card today:

You should totally make a coffee date with a friend soon!  They are good for the heart!

Have a wonderful day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Paper Pumpkin turns 5 years old!!!

Hey there!!  How very exciting!!!  Stampin' Up's! Paper Pumpkin turns 5 years old this month!!!  Are you a subscriber yet?!  I love, love, love my monthly Paper Pumpkin kits!  They are different every month and they always come with a stamp set, a mini stamp pad and all the goodies (minus adhesive!) that you need to complete that month' s projects!  They are always a fun surprise and come with enough stuff that you can totally break the rules and make your own projects if you'd like! Fun, fun, fun!

I made a card today using the supplies from my February kit plus a few of my own!!  Take a look:

I added the cat punch, piece of scrap Flirty Flamingo and used an alternate ink color (kit comes with Garden Green) here, but everything else is from the February kit. It was an awesome kit!!  Rumor has it that this month's is supposed to be even better!  More about that later!  My card base is Crumb Cake (from the kit!).  I stamped a flower (from the kit's stamp set!) on the card base creating a background pattern.  I used one of the tags from the kit and added some of the flower and leaves stickers.  Using dimensionals (from the kit!) I popped up a few of the flower stickers for added dimension.

I added a cat punch in Crumb Cake and called it finished!  It went together very quickly!

Here are the goodies I used to create this card today:
