Twisted Tuesday!

Hello!  HaPPY tUESDaY!  I am back from Convention and OMGoodness did I ever have an amazing time!!  I will be back tomorrow to tell you all about it, but for right now it is time to get twist-y!!  Today's fun challenge is called Tie a Ribbon around the Ole Oak Tree!  You have to use a tree somewhere on your project and the fun twist is that you must include a knot or two somewhere as well!  Twisted trees and gnarled knots make me think of one thing...Halloween!!  So, here is my challenge card with one clump of trees and one knot:

Spooky, huh?! LOL  Complete with it's own spiderwebs!

I was going to take the picture outside, but the sky opened up and I had to take it inside!  Normally, the shadows and lighting would make me crazy, but I decided since this was a Halloween card that it added to it! LOL

Ok, you know what you have to do!!  Head on over to Twisted Tuesday's and leave your creation in the link!  Think trees and knots!!  Cannot wait to see what you guys come up with!

I will be back tomorrow with lots of Convention highlights and pictures!   Show up with your favorite cup of liquid goodness, put your  feet up and visit for  a while! :)  See you soonest!

Convention swaps #5

Hello!  Today's convention swap share is of a scrapbook page set.  I signed up to do December and make 14 sets of a double page spread.  These were really fun to do!

I used Always Artichoke as my base and used the stamp set Everything Eleanor.  I used Be of Good Cheer DSP and Whisper White and Chocolate Chip paper.  I will be trading my 13 sets of December for the other months of the year and will wind up with a complete years worth of scrapbook pages!!

Enjoy the weekend!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Convention Swaps #4

Hello!  I have a few more Convention swap things to show you!  Today I am sharing the 3 x 3's I made for the Love note swap.  I made 101 of these little guys!  Try as I might to get a decent picture of these it just wouldn't work!  They turned out much cuter than they photographed!

The polka dots on the little rain boots are covered in Dazzling Details and are all shimmer-y!  I also added Crystal Effects to to the top and bottom of the boots.  I embossed the background with the Fancy Fan EF and added the sentiment "friend" on one of the new mini label punches.

This should be a fun swap!  I just love this little size card! :)

Hope you are planning a full and fun weekend!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Convention Swaps #3

Thursday already?!  This week sure is flying by! I have some more swaps to share with you today!  I signed up for a mini album swap.  Now if you read my blog regularly you may know I am nutty for mini albums!!  LOVE them!  In fact love them so much that after I made my mini's for this swap I signed up for a second spot! LOL  yep!  I made 20 mini's for this swap!  Take a look:

I made 10 little Meander albums with tags!  Each album had 7 pages front and back and 6 pull out tabs.  Sorry about the lighting in the picture!  The sun and shade were wreaking havoc with my pictures.  This is the cover.

Inside pages with tags.

The insides are all made using the new Polka Dot DSP!

These are the tags.  I made two sets of these for each album.

The different colors that I made.  I made 2 of each color.

This is the second album that I made.  I used the smaller tag from the Two tags Big Shot die to make the pages.

I just love all the little pages of this book!  This would be a great place to plop some mini Christmas photos with some journaling!  I am looking so forward to this swap!

Hope  you are having a nice week! :)  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Convention swaps #2

Hey there!  How are you?  I have another convention swap to share with you today. :) This is one of the cards I made for the Sudsol group I belong to.  It is an online group for Stampin Up! Demos.   The only real requirement was that everything be current.  This is what I came up with:
This card uses a ton of stuff!  I embossed the bottom with the Stripes EF and the center panel with the Fancy Fan EF.  I added a scalloped edge border to the panel and the main image.  I stamped the Chocolate Chip background with a stamp from Itty Bitty Bits and rounded the corners.  The main image is from the set Field Flowers.

This card uses 7 punches, 2 EF, 6 layers and some bling!

Made the flower from punches and sponged the edges of the butterfly to make it pop.  I made 45 of these cards!

Hope you are having a nice Wednesday! I sure am!:)

Twisted Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday to you!!  This is my second post today so be sure to scroll down to see the other one! :)

Time for another twist-y challenge!  Today's challenge was  to make a card using chocolate (my favorite thing!!!) and the twist is the add glitter (another of my favorite things!!) to the card!  Here is my card for today's challenge:

Chocolate cupcakes...yum!!  Chocolate cupcakes with sprinkles is even better!  I stamped the background with a flower from the stamp set Mixed Bunch and made a paper ribbon topped with a glitter heart.  I secured the whole thing in place with a gold brad.  The sentiment is from a retired set called Crazy for Cupcakes.  I was so sad to see that set go.

Hope that your day is the sweetest day ever!  Now go grab some chocolate, make a card and post it on the Twisted Tuesday site! See you over there!

Convention swaps Day #1

Hello!  Guess what?!  I am on my way to Utah!  Wooo hoooooo! :)  I wanted to start sharing some of the swaps I made to take with me so here we go!  First one is for a Masculine card swap that I am participating in.  As I have mentioned before, I always struggle with these cards, so I am looking forward to getting some new ideas.  Here is the card I made to swap:

Manly colors, manly plants and manly brads!  No frills, no buttons and no flowers!  I embossed the whole background with the Stripes background folder and added a paper border. I stamped the fern  leaf stem looking thing three times withuout re-inking in between to give the illusion of layers.

This was a fun card to make and fortunately was pretty quick to assemble.
 I made 33 of these.

I will be back soonest with more to share!  Hope you are having a nice day!

New, new, new!

Hello!  Happy Monday!  It is the start of a new and very exciting week!  I am super excited because I will be spending the  week in Utah at the Stampin Up! Convention!  Can I get a big Yahoooooo?!!!  I leave tomorrow!!! :)

Today, however, I have a new, new, new card to share with you!  My demo group met yesterday and our swap theme was to use new products from the new catalog.  My card uses several new products along with a couple of the oldies, but goodies.

I made a 3 x 3 card using some of the new in colors and DSP.  My ribbon is new as well as the stamp set which is Everything Eleanor.

A side view to show the layers.

Details:
Stamps: Everything Eleanor
Ink: Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Gumball Green, Very Vanilla and Be of Good Cheer DSP
Extras: 1/4" Stitched Grograin Ribbon, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch, Pearls and Dimensionals

I have a bazillion things to do today to get ready for Convention so I am off!  I will be sharing some of the swaps I made to take with over the next few days.

Have a wonderful Monday!

Kits are fun!

Hello!  Happy Wednesday to you! I wanted to share a quick project I made from a fun kit that I received recently!  I belong to a card kit swapping group and our first card kit was themed Stars and Stripes.  My sweet Sis sent me a kit full of oodles of things to choose from!  She also made me a really cool butterfly album.  She painted it and sanded it to look like suede...too cool!  Here is a picture of the kit she sent:

Fun stuff!

Here is a little project that I made using some of the goodies:

It is 6 x 6 and I think I am going to stick a frame around it and hang it in my craft space. It turned the dotted paper into a ladybug and cut apart the sentiment.  I used one of the frames and some of the brads.  This was a no pressure, just fun to assemble kind of project that made me especially happy!

Up close!

Even closer! :)

Thanks Cindy O. for the great kit!

Hope that you are having a good day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!
