Happy Day!

Hello!  Stopping by to wish you a very happy Friday and share a quick card that I made with you. February is such a fun month!  I love all the pinks and reds and hearts that go along with it (and not for nothing, but there is chocolate every where this time of the year!) :)  My card today doesn't have any chocolate, but I was thinking about chocolate while I was making it and I'm pretty sure that counts for something, right?!

I used the Hearts and Stars decorative mask and a sponge dauber to create the background of this card and then sponged around the edges.

I used the Layering Squares Framelits for the squares and the Sweetheart punch for the heart. The larger scalloped square it cut from Gold Foil paper and the the smaller one from Very Vanilla.  I added a few little gold circles (using the Owl Builder punch) to the bottom and a cute tiny little gold heart on top.    It just kind of pulled everything together!

Here is a close up!  I sponged around the edges of the heart too using the dauber.

Here are all of the products that I used to create this card:

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! I will be back soonest with more to share!

Thanks for being you!

Well, hey there!  This week is just zipping by!  Can you believe it is Thursday already?!  Today is a special day to me!  It is our son's birthday!  He is the greatest kid!!  He's our oldest and just such an awesome person!  He has a little girl that he is the best dad to ever and he makes us proud every single day!  I read somewhere once that you will never know how well you've done raising your children until you watch them raise their's.  :)  Here is a picture of our birthday boy and his little sweetie:

Really touches my heart and overloads me with warm and fuzzies!!  Happy birthday, David! Love love, love you!!

I spent a little bit of time playing in my stamp room this morning.  I wanted to do something water color-y!  So, I pulled out lots of different colored stamp pads and my aqua painter and just started making a mess!  Here is the little card I wound up putting together:

It is a 3" x 3" card.  I made the fun discovery that the Sweetheart punch fits very nicely matted against the heart die from the Mini treat bag thinlit set!  Score!!  I water colored the background and then a second piece to punch the top heart from.

The sentiment is from one of the free Sale-A-Bration sets called Avant Garden.  It's really a beautiful set!  The arrow is from the Love Notes Framelits and I cut it using Gold foil paper.  The adorable tiny little pink heart is an enamel shape and adds that last little something to the card.

Happy little card! :)

Here are the details for the products I used for this card.  Feel free to click any picture you want more info about.  It will direct you straight to my on-line store where you can find all of these goodies!

I hope you have an awesome day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Hey, chick!

Hello there!  *slides in all Tom Cruise/Risky Business like!* I have the cutest little card to show you today!!  It's such a simple little card, but the stamp makes me grin every time I look at it!!  I am having one of those got out of bed on the wrong side, anything that could go wrong has, is it actually a Monday kind of days!  I thought it would be a good idea to create something cute to perk me up, sooooo take a look at this guy:

I mean, come on?!  Just look at that hair?!  Is that not the cutest doo on a chicken that you've ever seen?!  How can you not help but grin looking at her?

I water colored her using an aqua painter and a Blushing Bride stamp pad.  I used a Pumpkin Pie marker to color in her beak and feetsies!  I added a bit of shadow beneath her using Smoky Slate and the aqua painter.  The hearts are from the Mini treat bag thinlit set.

The box is 2" x 2".   I started with a  6" x 6" piece of card stock and scored it at 2" and 4".  I turned it once and repeated that so my score lines looked like a tic tac toe board.  I cut in on all four score lines to the center square and adhered the sides together creating  a box!

View from the top!  Holds just enough chocolate goodness to make anyone smile!

Here are the products I used to make this card and box set!

Hope your day turns out to be more of a Wednesday than a Monday! *big grin!*  I will be back soonest with more to share!
