Paper Pumpkin mini album

Happy Thursday!  Are you getting your fill of the September Paper Pumpkin kit yet?  Honestly, I do own other supplies, but I am just having the absolute best time playing with this kit!! I have yet another little project to share with you today that uses the September PP kit!! Want to see?

I made a mini album!!  It is the perfect little size to add a few pictures to or add a handful of quotes to or to jot down some notes in!!  It's a tiny, little, fun book!  I have a special place in my heart for mini's and this one gave me the warm and fuzzies!!  I cannot wait to get some photos of the people I am most thankful for added to it!!

I used one of the pillow boxes to make it.  I simply cut off the top and bottom fold-y parts and viola'!!  It was just begging to be turned into a mini book or card!!  It is already embossed on the front (and back!), so it only required minimal decorating.

The book measures 3'' x  4" when closed, so I cut 2 pieces of Very Vanilla at 3 3/4" x 5 1/2" and scored them both at 2 3/4".  You could probably add another, but I wanted to keep this simple.  I sandwiched them together and stapled them in place.

I used the leaf stamp from the kit and stamped a different color leaf on the edge of each page.  Since I plan to add photos I didn't want the backgrounds to be too busy.

Cute little page just waiting for a picture!

I added one of the gold stickers to a piece of Cherry Cobbler and fussy cut around it.  I layered it onto one of the kit die cuts.  I cut the gold strip off of the sticker page that the gold stickers came on!  I like to make use of as much of the kit as I can! ;)   I stamped the sentiment and cut it out using Stitched Framelits and added some Pumpkin Pie accent dots using a standard hole punch.

I really enjoyed making this little guy!  I think they would make great gifts!!  Stocking stuffers or even place cards at your Thanksgiving table come to mind!!  So many fun possibilities!

Here are the goodies that I  used to create this mini:

Filled with thanks!

Hello!  Happy Wednesday! I spent some more time playing with my September Paper Pumpkin kit this morning.  There are just so many great elements in it this month!!  I see lots of different projects from this kit on the way!  Here is a card that I made today using some of the bits and pieces:

I used the stamp set from the kit to stamp both the background and the sentiment.  I also used one of the gold leaf stickers and one of the leafy die cuts from the kit.

I was feeling layers, so I ran with it!  I embossed the small Very Vanilla piece with the Cable knit Dynamic Embossing Folder and sandwiched it between layers of beautiful Fall color! I mounted the sentiment on the smallest Layering Circles Framelit after I cut it out using the smallest Stitched circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Phew!  That was a mouthful!  I stamped the background using the stamp set from the Paper Pumpkin kit and added the leaf peeking out, since it mimic-ed the same shape.

Hard to see in the photo, but I painted the inside of the leaf with a Wink of Stella glitter pen. It shimmers in person and  I do love a good sparkle!!  I also added a few glitter dots punched from a standard hole punch to pull everything together.  Le sigh!  I truly love Fall!

Here are the goodies I used to make my card today:
(Not pictured are the stamp set, gold leaf sticker and leaf die cut.  Those are all from the September Paper Pumpkin kit!)

Oodles to do today, so I better get to it!  Have a great day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Paper pumpkin....yaaaaas!

Hello there!  Hope your week is buzzing right along at a happy pace!  Do you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin?!  I am a long time subscriber myself.  I have hung on long enough to watch as it gained it's wonderful momentum and take off!  The kits these days are totally kick butt!!  If you are not aware of the goodness that is the Paper Pumpkin, allow me to elaborate.  It is an all inclusive (minus additional adhesive) monthly craft kit.  It comes with all the goodies you need to create a fun project or a set of cards.  It is a surprise every month and definitely one I still get excited about!!  This month's kit was just...WOWSERS!!!  Plus--->every kit comes with a teeny stamping spot (ink pad) and a stamp set.

I borrowed a few of the goodies from September's kit to make my project today.
I made a Fall themed card in a box.  I just love this project!  It appears to be a card until you open it to reveal a box!  Fun stuff!  Take a look:

(You can find a tutorial *HERE* if you would like to make one!!)

Here it is all closed with a belly band holding it snug.

The leaves are from the Paper pumpkin kit as well as the leaf stamp on the sides.  I used Cherry Cobbler for the card/box base and Crushed Curry and Very vanilla for my side panels. The gorgeous gold leaf is a sticker that I placed onto a piece of Pumpkin pie and fussy cut around.  I layered the die cuts (also from the PP kit) on top of a piece of Burlap ribbon to dress up the belly band.

Card/box without the belly band.

Better look at the belly band and it's embellishments.

Those gold stickers are just beautiful!

Here it is opened up.  I used the leaf stamps from the Gourd Goodness stamp set for the inside.  I also added a strip from the Decorative ribbon punch below the sentiment.  Finished it up by adding a few gold glimmer dots that I punched using a standard hole punch.

This box will hold a gift card, or a flat piece of candy and still close.  Have I mentioned how much fun this project is?!

Close up of the inside.

Here are all of the goodies I used to make this project:
