Happy Friday to you! The weekend is upon us and that is pretty darn exciting! Spring still hasn't sprung here (snowed off and on all day!) though! So, still I wait (not so patiently! ) and in the meantime I keep crafting like it is Spring in hopes that it will hurry the heck up! Today I made tulips! I used one of my very favorite Stampin Up! punches...the 2 step owl! A very sweet friend of mine mentioned this punch recently so I felt inspired to whip it out and make some of these little beauties! {{*hiya Melina!*}} They are not my original idea. They are floating around all over the place and with good reason! They are so pretty! I have seen a couple of different versions, but I used three owls per tulip for mine. I cut off the little feet and one ear of each from two owls. I sponged the pieces and layered them one on top of the other and then added the third owl on top with a pop dot! Here is my tulip-y card:
Recipe:
Stamps: Best Yet (retired) and Baby Blossom
Paper: Melon Mambo, Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Certainly Celery, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White
Ink: Old Olive and Basic Grey
Extras: Rhinestones, Large Label punch, White Gel pen and pop dots
A close up of the tulips! I wanted to use the Top Note die for the vase, but it is at my other residence so the Large label punch was a handy second choice!
We have a very full weekend planned, how about you? We have gymnastics and soccer games and travel on our agenda! Time for me to run! Soccer practice calls! Have a wonderful day! I will be back soonest with more to share! :)
Super cute, I must CASE!
