Shutter fold card!

Hello!  Hope you are having a nice day! I needed to make a card this morning for a friend, but I wanted it to be a little different than just a plain ole' fold on one side card.  I wound up going with a shutter fold card!  Have you made one of these yet?  They are so cool! Look at this:

Looks like your standard ole' plain card until......

you open it to reveal lots of folds and panels!  There is a ton of room to decorate and add embellishments to this kind of card!  I kept mine simple to I could mail it without having to take out a second mortgage for postage! :)

This is what it looks like standing up!

View from the top!

I punched out and crumpled up two Blossom punches.  Once they were good and crumpled I carefully peeled apart the layers and then added dimensionals between them and re-stacked them!  The center is made from the 7/8" Scallop Circle punch and I doodled on some white gel pen lines to break up the color some.

The bird is from the Two Step Bird punch!  Love him!!

Layered these butterflies for the pop in color!  There are lots of flying critters buzzing around on this card!

One more look at the finished card:

There is a great tutorial for these cards over at SplitCoast!  You can find it here. Let me know if you make one!  I would love to see it!

Have a super day!!  I will be back soonest with more to share!  :)
