Sale-A-Bration fun and some dex cards!

Hey there!  I am trying to squeeze in the last bit of Sale-A-Bration play before it comes to an end tomorrow!  Have you heard of Dex cards?  Remember the old Rolodex files?!  They were tiny little cards that you stored names, numbers and addresses on!  Well, it has become all the rage to now decorate little dex cards and keep them in a rolodex holder!  They are a lot of fun, because the space to jazz up is tiny!  I worked on a few today using some going, going, soon to be gone SAB items!  Want to see?!

These fun little guys measure 4" across and can be any height that will fit into your holder.  Some holders have tops that limit how tall they can be and some do not.  My card base for this one is Melon Mambo and my layers are the gorgeous Springtime Foils SAB DSP, and Crumb Cake.

I used the Celebrate You Thinlits (SAB) to cut out the word "amazing" and added some punched circles in Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay.  The heart is from the Sweet and Sassy Framelits.

My second card uses the Foil DSP base and the layers are Melon Mambo, Powder PInk and Bermuda Bay.

The flowers are punched from the Pansy Punch and the butterfly is from the Butterflies Thinlits.  The tiny little hi sentiment is from the Party Panda stamp set.  Boy oh boy oh boy am I going to miss that cute set!!!

Speaking of which...here is one of those cute party-ing pandas now!!  My card base is Basic Black and my layers are Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Gold Foil paper and Old Olive.

I ran my base layer through the Basket Weave Dynamic Embossing Folder (SAB) and then began layering all of my pieces.  The sentiment is from the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set (SAB).  I punched the leaves using the Leaf punch and ran them through the Seaside Dynamic Embossing Folder to give them some texture.  I added some gold accent dots using a standard hole punch.  The product supply list looks lengthy, but for the most part I just used scraps from my scrap piles!  That is the beauty of decorating something so tiny!  Here are the products that I used to create my dex cards today:

Sale-A-Bration ends tomorrow, so if you would like to earn your freebies the time is now!!
