Kindness...

Hello there!  Kindness can be such a simple thing, but can also make the largest impact!  It only takes a minute to do a kind deed, but the lingering result can last and last!  I have been truly fortunate and have been the recipient of many kinds deeds, so I try to pay it forward whenever I get the chance!  It really does make the world a brighter place!  On that note, here is the card I created today:

My base layer is Whisper White and the next layer is Pool Party.  I pieced this scene together using 3 different stamp sets. The trees are from Lovely As A Tree, the water, sentiment and background sky stamps are from Waterfront and the sailboats are from Lily Pad Lake.  I would love to crawl into this card and prop against one of those trees with a picnic lunch and a good book!

I used Pool Party and Night of Navy to color the water and Old Olive for the grassy bank.  The sails are colored with Stampin' Blends and my setting sun is stamped in Crushed Curry.  I went kind of Old School with this card!  No fancy die cuts or punches, nothing to embellish it!  It is just good ole' stamping and coloring!  I did use my Smoky Slate Blend to add some shadows to the trees and boats.  It adds a little bit of dimension to the scene.

Here are all of the goodies I used to create my card  today:

I hope that you have a great day!  I will be back soonest with lots more to share!
