Happy World Card Making Day!!!

Hello there!  Happy World Card Making Day to you and you and you and y.....  Today is one of the happiest days of the year!   Break out your inks and stamps and paper and dies and embellishments and let the fun begin!  I have a million and one things I am trying to get done today, so unfortunately I didn't have nearly as much play time in my stamp room as I would have liked, but I did manage to get in there for one card's worth!   Here is the card I made:

It's one of those fun tri-fold cards!  It lays flat for mailing, but opens into a cool shape-y card!  My card base is Soft Suede and my layers are Calypso Coral and Very Vanilla.  I ran the background Vanilla pieces through the Woodland Textured Embossing Folder and then stamped some falling Fall leaves.

I stamped the smaller pieces with the classic trees from Lovely As a Tree.  I sponged in some grass using Old Olive and then added some Fall leaves with a stamp from Sheltering Tree.

Here is a view from the top.  It shows the fun shape the card takes when it is open.

The sentiment is from the High Tide stamp set.  I also added a couple of leaves from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits set.

I just love Fall!

Here are all of the goodies I used to make my card today:

Ok, I better scoot if I am going to get anything done!  I hope you have a wonderful day and Happy World Card Making Day to you!  Big inky hugs!!

  1. Gorgeous! This is so cool and I love how you worked the shiny paper in there to go with the sentiment! I'm such a rebel, I worked on scrapbooks on World Card Making Day! LOL!
