Swap card and the happiest of news!

Well, hey there!!  So sorry to have gone missing!  I decided to take a fews days off to celebrate some exciting news!  One week ago today our amazing grand kiddo #3 made his way safely into the world!  He weighed 6 lbs 15.9 oz and is absolutely beautiful!!  When I first got the news 3 grandkids ago that I was going to be a Grams I was a little nervous.  I had raised 4 amazing kids at this point and wasn't sure how I would handle the role of Grams!  Grand baby #1 came along and it was over...I was a puddle!  She wrapped me around her teeny little finger immediately.  She is smart and gorgeous and so much fun to be around!!  Then came baby #2 and and he was totally awesome and equally as wonderful!! He is so cute and smart and sweet that I can barely stand it!  We have been waiting anxiously to meet the new little guy and he has already filled my heart with so much love!  I cannot wait to really get to know him too!! Ah the feels...!

Ok, on to my card for today!  I am participating in a fun swap called a circle journal swap.  It requires that you make an album large enough to accomodate 10 cards and then you choose a theme.  The album then cycles through everyone on your list (10 peeps in this case) until it comes back to you filled up!  Pretty exciting stuff! 10 albums all making their rounds and they come back with lots of new ideas! Here is one of the cards that I created for one of the albums:

The theme was flowers and or butterflies!  I did both!  My card base is Melon Mambo and my layers are Very Vanilla and Pineapple Punch.  There isn't a happier color than this one by the way......anywhere!  The very detailed embossing and that large butterfly make quite a vivid impact, so I kept the rest of the card simple!

I added a few silver glimmer dots using a standard hole punch, stamped that sweet sentiment from Eastern Beauty and called it done!  It is a bright, happy card and I really hope that the recipient likes it as much as I enjoyed making it for her!

Here are all of the goodies I used to create this card today:

Have a wonderful day!  I will be back soonest with lots more to share!
