A merry little treat holder!

Hello there!  Are you working on your Christmas goodies and gifts?!  Would you like a quick, fun treat holder idea that you can whip up in no time flat?  It uses only 1 piece of card stock to create and you can decorate it any way you'd like!  Take a look:

This little cutie measures 4 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" tall x 2" deep!!  It will hold all kinds of yummy goodness!  I made mine from 1 sheet of Whisper White card stock.  I embossed the background with the Sparkle Embossing Folder and added lots of fun little details to the front.

I stuffed it full of all kinds of yummy goodies!

I added the beautiful tree from the In the Woods Framelits set.  I cut two and layered them.  The sentiment is from the Nothing Sweeter stamp set and it is stamped on and layered on ovals from the Layering Ovals Framelits.  The sweet little deer is from the Detailed Deer Framelits set and the stars are from the Sweetly Stitched Framelits set.  I added a few inches of snow by tearing a strip of Whisper White and adhering it along the bottom.

Here is a view from the side.

This is what it looks like from the top before I tucked in all the candy.

Want to know how to create one?

Start with a piece of card stock measuring 8 1/2" x 9".

On the 9" side, score at 3 1/2" and 5 1/2".

On the 8 1/2" side, score at 2" and 6 1/2".

Cut small 'v' shapes out of the two small flaps on the sides.  Once you have done this fold on all of your score lines.  Fold the sides in ward to create box sides and glue together.  It looks neatest if you put the small flap in between the two large sides.  Repeat on the other side and viola'!  You have a box ready to be filled and gifted away! :)

I have found it is easiest to decorate the front panel before assembling it, but do whatever works best for you! :)

Here is a list of all of the goodies that I used to create my project today!

Your turn!!  Make oodles of these and let the gift giving begin!!  I would love to see what you create!!  Leave me a comment and show me your fun boxes!!
