Happy Friday! Abstract Impressions day #5

Hello there! Happy Friday to you!!!  What a fun week it has been sharing all of these Abstract Impressions projects with you! I have a couple more to share today and then 1 final one to share with you tomorrow.  Let's get right to it, shall we?!

My first project is a mini album.  This cute little guy measures 3 1/4" x 4 1/4"!  We are talking mini!  Don't be fooled though!  It will hold lots of pictures and journaling.  It has 12 interior pages!

The album base is made from Crumb Cake cardstock and each page has a Whisper White layer.  It is embossed with the Tufted Dynamic Embossing Folder. It has a colored doily and the sentiment is stamped on and matted against the Every Day Label punch.  I added little Rose Glimmer accent dots that I punched using a standard hole punch.

Here is a view of all of the pages at once.

Each set of interior pages is decorated with a strip of DSP from the Garden Impressions DSP pack.

Here is a view of the spine of the album.

To create the frame for the sentiment I punched a second Every Day Label punch and cut it in half down the center.  I added each half to the under outer edge of the top punch.  Easy peasy, but really dresses it up!

To create the flower I stamped and fussy cut one of the flower stamps and then added a piece of the large die cut from the coordinating Thinlits set on top of it.  I added the leaves behind to give it a framed appearance.  I am a big fan of mini albums!

On to the second project:

I made another pinch basket and filled it with chocolate goodness.  I love these little baskets!  They go together so quickly, but look so fancy!

View from the top.

I tied the whole thing up with a lovely Whisper White polka dotted tulle bow!

I added a panel to each side (and one on the inside center bottom!) using the Garden Impressions DSP pack.  To create the focal point panel I stamped 2 flowers using the Triple Stamping technique and then fussy cut them both out.  I added them with Dimensionals and tucked a leaf punch underneath. It came together very nicely!

If you would like to make a pinch basket of your own, here are the how to's:

Start with a square of cardstock.  I used 8" x 8", but you could use any size square you would like!

Start by scoring at 2 1/2" and 5 1/2".

Flip your cardstock one time and score again @ 2 1/2" and 5 1/2".  You should have what looks like a tic tac toe board at this point.

Score from each corner into the intersecting lines as pictured.

Fold and crease well using your bone folder on every score line. Don't forget the diagonal corners!  It should look like the picture above.

Using a hole punch, pinch each diagonal and punch a hole through both pieces at once.  Repeat for the other 3 diagonals.

****Now is a good time to decorate your panels (while you can still lay your basket flat!)  The size of your panels will be determined by the size of your basket.  Simply measure your squares and subtract 1/4".

Using the tie of your choice gather all four corners and thread your tie through.  Pull it snug being careful not to rip your holes and tie a knot or bow depending on what you are tying it together with!

There you have it!!  Fill that little guy with goodies and let the gift giving begin!

Here are all of the products that I used to create my projects today:

Thank you for stopping by!  Be sure to stop back by tomorrow to see my final project using this set and for some news about how you can get some goodies from me!
