Happy Easter, everyone! : )

One last post for the day! This is a photo of my daughters bunny! We wanted to wish you all a very Happy Bunny day! : )

Big hugs!
AnnMarie : )

Say cheese and easter bunnies! : )

As I have mentioned before, I run a home school support group in my county! We have over 40 families and are still growing! I try to plan as many fun activities as we can squeeze into a calendar month and this week was our Easter Egg hunt and Spring picture day! We do a yearbook each year and this is the day our kids take their individual photos! : ) The weather this week was pretty yucky, but we had a fairly good turn out! Here is a group shot of a handful our our kids! Aren't they cute?! **Note the odd expressions on some of their faces! We always do a 'funny face' photo and some of them chose to keep their funny faces for this photo as well! LOVE these kids!!

A fun Easter card!

So I woke up this morning with a plan!! I was bound and determined to attempt to make my own pattern to house a couple of Reese Peanut Butter eggs to give away as a Happy Easter card! I started out with very good intentions (and a very good attitude!) and decided half way through that this was going to be a huge success! Then about 3/4 of the way through the swear words starting forming! I mean it is only paper and a ruler...how tough can this be, right?! More swear words! My pattern was off (!!!) just barely, but enough so that I noticed it and despite my best efforts couldn't manage to correct! More swear words! So, I scrapped my pattern and decided I would try one more time from scratch! I consoled myself with the fact that if it didn't work this time that I would just eat ALL of the chocolate and shred my card and pattern! Big grin! I managed to pull it off and it came out mostly even! : ) This was the end result! It closes like a book and opens up to two pockets filled with Reese eggs! I used a SU! wheel and stamped the entire thing while flat and the used my corner rounder to make the top edges and inside pocket tops scalloped! I glued a cream colored ribbon around the outside edge to use as a bow fastener and added a scallop with bunny to the front center! I tucked some purple ribbon under my scallop and added some paper punched eggs and some sparkly bling flowers! I added another bunny and a happy sentiment on the inside! Viola'! Happy Easter!

Recipe:
Stamps: SU! Butterflies and Blossom Wheel and Studio G Clear Stamps
Paper: SU! Pale Plum, Whisper White, So Saffron, Pixie Pink and Tempting Turquoise
Extras: SU! Scallop punch, Egg punch, Cream colored ribbon, Flower bling, Purple Polka dotted ribbon

More Easter Goodies!

Since my son's girlfriend has become such a comfy fit into our family I wanted to make her an Easter something! So she gets an Easter bucket! : ) I picked the bucket up at the Dollar tree and used my Crop-O-Dile to add some silver brads to it! I tied some polka dotted purple ribbon to them and added a little bunny adorned gift tag! The bunny on the tag is from Studio G Clear stamps (dollar find at AC Moore's!) along with the sentiment on the back of the tag that says 'Somebunny loves you!'. I used my egg punch and added blue, yellow and pink easter eggs to the outside of the bucket randomly and stuffed it full of some fun goodies for her!

Stamps: Studio G
Paper: SU! Tempting Turquoise, Pixie Pink Very Vanilla, Pale Plum and So Saffron
Ink: SU! Pixie Pink and Not Quite Navy
Extras: Bucket from Dollar store, SU! Scallop punch, Crop-O-Dile, Purple polka dotted ribbon and silver eyelets

Some Easter goodies!

Wanted to share some of the Easter goodies I made this morning! The adorable bunny stamp on the cards is from Rubbernecker! He is holding a seed packet of carrots! I layered a few of the pieces on one of the bunnies and made his basket out of an oval punch (Marvy punch). I punched it and used an exacto knife to cut away the center and drew lines to make it look basket like! I used another small egg punch to fill his basket! Tied on a cream colored ribbon and added some bling! I paper pierced the light green strip of paper and added some cornes to balance it out from some designer paper that I scored on my out of town shopping spree trip!

The second card has the same paper and some ghost flowers with a sparkle brad in the center. I used some ribbon scraps to add a touch of pink on the edge of the bunny stamp and stamped an Easter sentiment from Stampin Up! I sponged the whisper white cardstock with pink and purple to soften the look and layered it against pale plum paper.

The bags of candy have gift tags made from the cutest line ever from Hannah Stamps called Riley the Moose! He is soooo adorable and there are going to be a ton of them once they are all released! I plan to collect as many as I can! My mom lives in Alaska where she has moose visitors regularly and these will be fun to make and send to her! This is the Easter Riley in half of an egg shell! Too cute!

Now I am off to the post office to mail these goodies! Happy Easter! : )

My entry for the Hannah Stamps challenge!

This is my entry for the 3 X 3 Hannah stamps box with coordinating cards! This was fun, fun, fun! I took the lid off off the box and turned it into an Easter basket! I adorned the front with a giant Easter egg and used that adorable Riley to decorate my egg and card fronts! I used spring-y colors and polka dotted ribbon!

March Swap Projects!

I meet once a month with a wonderful group of Stampin Up! Demonstrators to touch base on the latest SU news, exchange swap projects and of course share yummy food! I have gotten quite attached to these meetings because they offer two+ hours of creativity and just plain fun! : ) The ladies in this group are all very talented and such sweet people!

Our challenge for March was to do a project using something new from the catalog and our recipe card challenge was a salad! We have been doing one recipe a month and are accumulating a nice little stack to assemble into a cookbook!

I made a post it note holder with a matching pen using the new paper ginger blossoms. LOVE this stuff! My recipe card was for ambrosia...only one of the most wonderful concoctions on the face of this planet! Big grin! I had so much fun with these projects!

A thank you card!

Seems like the last week has been super busy because the time has just flown by! I have been meaning to post this card for the last several days, but this is the first time I have had a few free minutes! This is the card I made for our wonderful hosts on my weekend trip to Georgia! Hope they like it!

I used my SU! Wild Rose set and stamped, trimmed and layered the images several times to create a 3D effect. I LOVE this set! I added some sparkles to balance the card out aesthetically and Viola'! Sure hope it travels well! : )

I went shopping!!!!

Cha ching!!! I made a quick out of town trip weekend before last with a good buddy of mine! We went to Georgia for two nights and three days! I had such a wonderful time! We went down to visit with her family, who made me feel so very comfortable and right at home! : )

Her mom has recently discovered scrapbooking and promised to take us to some fun little shops! She is hopelessy hooked and full of bubbly energy! We had a blast! There were several shops on our agenda, but we only made it to two because we spent so much time in them! LOL The first store we went to was called the 50% Off Scrapbook Everything Store! OH MY GOODNESSS!!!!! When we walked through the door the cute little clerk (who was scrapping while she worked...what a job, huh?!!!!) hollered hello to us and told us that the paper in the boxes on the floor (6 GINORMOUS!! BOXES) were all 25 sheets for $2.00...which after the discount would make them 25 sheets of 12 X 12 designer papers for $1.00!! BARGAIN!! That was when my head started reeling! I got a little dizzy and the room started to go a little blackish! I got 50 (!!) for $2.00!! I am kicking myself now for not getting more, but the store just kept going back and back and I was concerned about getting it all home! They had soooo many fun papers and eyelets and brads and kits and glue things and embellishments and....OH MY GOODNESS!!! I wound up spending $26.00 for all the fun things in this picture! (minus the few things I picked up at the next store!).

Our next stop was lunch...we needed to refuel! We had a yummy lunch and then we went to Archiver's!!!! I have never been to one of these! Ok, now you must remember! I live in the slap middle of the woods! There are zero stop lights!! There is one restaurant, one bank, one convenience store and a Post Office in my tiny little town Most days it is quaint, but when you are jonesin' for a craft fix...it feels pretty darn lonely! LOL The closest craft anything is 45 minutes away! So, I was in scrapbook and cardmakers heaven! I walked through the doors and the angelic choir began to sing! It was a beautiful thing!! LOL

They were a little pricier than the previous store, but oh the selection! I was astounded and a little over whelmed! LOL I kept my purchases there to a small minimum, but was creating a mental wish list longer than I am tall!! What fun!!!

After that it was to the cheesecake place where we had cheesecake and sweet, fattening coffee!! I was so dang happy! LOL

Here is a picture of my loot! : )

Ah! Happy Day!

AnnMarie : )

P.S. I am already planning my strategy for a return trip! LOL

Thank you Big Sister, Betsy!!!!

I was so surprised to get my reveal package from Betsy!! (Hiya Betsy! *waving!!*) Ok, I wasn't surprised because I knew it was time for the reveal, but I was very surprised that it was Betsy! I did not try to snoop before hand though because I really wanted it to be a surprise! : )

Betsy sent me the cutest TAC stamp set!! I do not have any of these stamps so it was a lot of fun to play with them! I stamped them all on a white sheet of card stock to make an index sheet for their box! They stamp beautifully and they are so dang stinking' cute! Cannot wait to play with them more!

She also included the most adorable card and the cutest pack of bunny tissues (which my youngest keeps eyeing!). Thank you so much, Betsy!! : )

I really enjoyed this Secret Sister Swap! It was a lot of fun! My Little Sister was Crystal! (Hiya Crystal! *waving!!*)

Fun! Fun! Fun!!
