Thank you basket and some walls!

Hello!!  Wow-wee-wow-wow!!  This day almost got away from from me!!   I had a great class tonight and got to visit with some really good  folks!  We made a fun banner that I will share with you soon, but I did want to stop by and share the little thank you baskets that I made for everyone.

This is one of my favorite little baskets to make! These are made from a 5" x  5"  piece of card stock and the handle is a simple strip glued in place. The pretty flower on front is from Flower Shop and punched with the coordinating Pansy punch.

To make one you just score your 5 x 5 square at 1.5" on all four sides.  Cut into the score marks on two sides and then do the same on the opposite side.  Fold on all score lines and then assemble and adhere sides to make basket shape.  Add a small strip by either gluing of with brads!  Easy peasy! :)

I filled each one with flavored tootsie rolls!  I wanted each of my guests to feel welcome! :)

I also thought I would share a couple photos of our house progress with you!  We have been busy, busy, busy!!  See:

Walls!!!  We have walls!!  I am so excited!  We have been fighting with the rain for the last week or so! It is happening though!  My hubby is the brilliant mastermind behind all of this!!  The whole family has pitched in to make this happen though!

I hope you have a wonderful night!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Tag........you're it!

Hi there!  Happy Friday to you!  This morning when I sat down at my craft table I decided that I wanted to do something a little different.  I wasn't feeling a card, or  a 3D project so I went with an exaggerated tag instead!  Too big for a gift bag, but perfect size for a scrapbook page!  What do you think?

I have really been inspired by that Vintage feel lately so I went in that direction!  I love Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake together!

I double layered the Blossom punch with the Pansy punch and stamped the flower centers with the same stamp that I used to make the background.  I added some faux stitching and some antique-y looking pearls.

I did some doodle outlining around the edges and added some leaves from the 2 Step Bird punch.

The details:
Stamps: Shop Around Wheel
Paper: Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride Very Vanilla, Pistachio Pudding and IN Color DSP
Ink: Soft Suede and Crumb Cake
Punches and Dies: 2 Step Bird punch, Blossom punch, Pansy punch, 3/4" Circle and 1/2" Circle punches
Extras: Dimensionals, Pearls and Paper Piercing Pack

Hope that you have a great day!

Shop around!

Hello there!  Have you seen the beautiful new Stampin Up! wheel called Shop Around?  It is absolutely gorgeous!!  First thing I did when it arrived was to remove it from the wheel and put it on cling foam so I could use it as a big stamp rather than a wheel.  They work much better for me this way!  Then I inked that big guy up and made this:

I stamped the new stamp/old wheel on Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.  I cut out some of the image and punched out other parts. I sponged everything with Crumb Cake and then just started layering things til it looked the way I wanted it to!

I added a little bit of faux stitching and layered the flowers on dimensionals.  Two tiny little pearls finished it off!

 Fun, fun card!

The Details:
Stamps: Shop Around, Create A Cupcake and Postage Collection
Paper: Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, Very Vanilla and Pistachio Pudding
Ink: Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip
Punches and Dies: Pansy Punch, Blossom Punch, 2 Step Bird Punch, Large Decorative Label punch. 7/8" Scallop punch and Small Oval punch
Extras: Pearls and Dimensionals

Hope you are having a great day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Christmas card Sunday #25

Hello there!  Time for another Christmas card!  I am up to card number 25 already!  I have made one card a week since the beginning of the year!!  I am so excited to have kept up with the challenge so far!  Here is my card for this week:

I used a wheel to make the border strip and then layered lots of greens and reds.  The sweet Santa image is from a retired set and the sentiment is from Joyous celebration.  I colored a rhinestone with a Sharpie to get that red color and stamped the sentiment on a crumb cake circle!

Not too late to play along with me!!  Still lots of time until Christmas to get some cards made! :)

Ok, I am off to dinner with the fam!  Hope that you are having a wonderful weekend!  I will be back soonest with more to  share!

Technique class and a little bit of Nature's beauty!

Happy Friday! :)  I had a really cool class  last night!!  It was a Technique class and we made 8 different examples with a technique on the front of each and directions for making it on the back!  We are going to have several more classes and create a whole book of techniques!  I think this may have been one of my favorite classes yet!!  Everyone learned a lot and that makes my heart sing! Here are the techniques we did:

Mosaic Grid Technique

Clear Block Stamping Technique

Masking Technique

Rock and Roll Technique

Emboss Resist Technique

Negative Masking Technique

Chalkboard Technique

Pin Wheel Technique

These were all so much fun to do!  I cannot wait for the next technique class now!

This lone flower bloomed in our yard and I couldn't resist taking a picture!  It is such a pretty orange color!

Nature is such a great place to get inspiration for projects!

I stamped my flower once and  then a second time and then re-inked and stamped over the lighter version with the dark ink and then the lighter ink onto the darker image!  Was that as clear as mud?! LOL

Penguin luggage tag because why not?!

Hello there! :)  Middle of the week calls for a little something different today!  My kiddo has some travel in her future and needed a bag tag of some sort to help identify her luggage!  What better way to do that than to plop a big ole' happy penguin on the front of a tag?!  So that is exactly what I did!

This cute little penguin is from a retired set called Penguin Pleasantries!  My kiddo happens to be a penguin nut, so he was perfect for her bag tag!  Normally, he is a birthday penguin, but today he is a luggage tag penguin that happens to wear a hat and serve cake!  That might even make him more perfect for this job (especially if you knew my kiddo!) LOL.  She loves penguins, but she also loves her cake!

I made this tag from a restaurant coaster.  I have collected several of these from different restaurants.  They make awesome mini album pages and covers!  I covered both sides of this one with card stock and added some fun letters from her name.  (Her sweetie calls her Ty!)  I added some faux stitching and some sweet little sparkly flowers!  It looks awfully darn cute on her luggage if I do say so myself! :)

The Details:
Stamps: Penguin Pleasantries (retired)
Paper: Real Red,  Basic Black, Very Vanilla, So Saffron and Pool Party
Ink: Real Red, Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, Pool Party and Daffodil Delight
Punches and Dies: Ovals framelits, Labels framelits, Alphabet Dies and Itty Bitty punch pack
Extras: White Gel pen, Dazzling Diamonds and Rhinestones

I will be back soonest with more to share! Hope you have a penguin serving cake kind of day too!

Polka Dot Pieces

Hey there!  Rain, rain.......go away!!  Is it raining on you?!  There is rain in our forecast for the next four days!  Ugh!!  I really do love the rain, but so much of it lately is kind of harshing my vibe! LOL   So I wanted to make a bright, happy card today and  this is what I did:

I used the awesome new Polka Dot Pieces set for my main image.  I colored each of the pieces with a different color marker and then punched them out with the coordinating 2 Step Bird punch.  The background is embossed and stamped.  The added flower is also from the same set and the beautiful bright, happy pink piece is embossed as well.

Little bit of faux stitching and it was done!

Happy card....yes, yes, yes!!

Details:
Stamps: Polka Dot Pieces and Pennant Parade
Paper: Crumb Cake, Pretty in Pink, Strawberry Slush and Very Vanilla
Ink: Primrose Petals, Chocolate Chip, Garden Green and Crumb Cake
Punches and Dies: 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punch,  2 Step Bird Punch, Mosaics EF and Stripes EF
Extras: Pearl and Dimensionals

I hope that your day is happy even if the rain is falling where you are!
