Twisted Tuesday

Hellooooo!  How are ya?!  So glad you stopped by!  Guess what day it is?!  That's right....Twiiiiisted Tuesday!  Today's fun twisted challenge was to use the word "VACATION" as your inspiration and make a card.  The twist (because there is always a twist!) was to keep it simple!  Not as easy as it sounds I tell ya!.  I am always tempted to add a little bling and a ribbon or a cutsie embellishment or two, but not this time!  Simple, simple, simple!  Have a look:

Vacation...oooooh la la!

See simple! :)

Come on over to Twisted Tuesday's and play along!  This time around you get two weeks to make and enter your card!  We usually do a challenge a week, but since the theme is vacation we are all taking one and extending this challenge period to two weeks!!  Get crafting guys!! :)  Make a card and link it on up!

Be sure to check out all of the other amazing girl's cards too!  You can find them all on the Twisted Tuesday's blog.

Hope you are having a wonderfully twisted Tuesday!  I will be back soonest with more to share!  Have a great day!

"Spring" pop up card!

Hello!  How are you today?! Have you ever made a pop up card?!  You have to!!!  They are so much fun!!!  Seriously, go now and make one!!  I will wait here!  :)

Ok, I suspect you didn't actually go and do that, but I forgive!  You can make one later!  Promise?!

So,  I attend a monthly demo meeting that always includes a swap.  Our swap this month was a pop up card.  There are lots of variations to choose from, but I decided to go with the standard ole' pop up!  Take a look:

Here is my card closed.  I stamped the heart from You Are Loved and punched out a 1" circle for the flower center.

Here is it open and all popped up!  What a fun thing! LOL  I made a punch art bee bumble (sounds so much friendlier than bumble bee!) to go along with those bright, happy flowers!  He has a cute little stinger, but it is hidden behind the blooms!

Another angle.

Head on!

Side view.

You really have to try one of these!  It is such a fun surprise to open the card and have everything pop right up!

Details:
Stamps: You are Loved
Ink: Old Olive
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Garden Green, Very Vanilla, Glossy White,
Basic Black, Real Red, Summer Starfruit and Melon Mambo
Punches: Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border, Scalloped Oval, Itty Bitty 3 punch Pack,
Boho Blossom, Blossom Petals Builder, 2 Set Owl, Ornament, 1" Circle and Blossom
Extras: Pop Dots

Lots to do today so I am off!  Hope that you have a great day even though it is the dreaded Monday! :)

I will be back soonest with more to share!

Tea for me and tea for you...

Hello!  Hope you are having a nice weekend! :)  I have a fun post to share with you today!  MY MIL just recently had a birthday and I wanted to make a little something for her.  She is one of those people that has one of everything and doesn't really *NEED* anything.  She is a super lady and adorable to boot so I wanted  to give her something fun and different.  She happens to collect teacups (Something we have in common!) so I went looking for, found and purchased a pattern that I thought would be perfect!!  I already had a teacup for her to add to her collection so I choose my patterned paper by matching it to the cup.  Take a look:

This was so much fun to make!  I plan to make a couple more to put in my stamp room in different colors!

View from the top.

Lid lifts off to stuff some tea or chocolate or other fun little goodies into the teapot!

Lid with matching brad to hold my flower together.

Sentiment on the front.

The gift set!

The card that went with it.  It is a 3 x 3 because those little guys are just so much fun to make!

Ok, I am off to my monthly demo meeting!  Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Let's get scrappy!!

Good Wednesday morning to you!!  I am super fortunate (and really excited!!) to have been chosen by the the very sweet and wonderful Pam from PS I Love You to be on her Design team! Wooo Hoooo!  Pam has a super fun scrapbooking ebay store and makes all kinds of wonderful scrap titles.  Head on over there and check them out!   I scrap-ed a few pages using some of these great titles and will be sharing them with you over the next couple of days!  Take a look at page #one:

Try and try as I might...I just could not get a very good picture of  this page!  It is all rainy and gray and dreary out so the light was the pits!  Think you get the idea though!  These are two of my kiddos at their graduation.

It has been a while since I have done any real scrapping.  I had a really good time doing these pages!  Makes me want to break out all of my pictures and scrap them all! :)

I will be back tomorrow with another page to show you! :)

Have a wonderful day!

Twisted Tuesdays!!

Hey there!  Time for another Twisted Tuesday!! Today's twist-y challenge was to use a chain of some sort on your card!  It could be any sort of chain...a row of anything!  The twist was that card must be long or tall!  I went with a simple card and a chain of pearl topped flowers!  My very sweet and wonderful Grandma is going to be 95 years old tomorrow!!!  This card is for her!  This woman is amazing!  She is so strong and funny and smart and energetic and just all around wonderful!  Love her to pieces!!!  Here is my twisted card:

Simple, long and a chain of pearl topped floral arrangements! :)

Twisted Tuesday!

Hello!  It is that time of the week again! Today's Twisted challenge is a fun one!!  Our sweet Melina is having a birthday very soon and so the challenge was to make a birthday card!  The twist is to add her favorite embellishment which happens to be ribbon! :)  Who doesn't love ribbon!  In addition to the challenge at hand I had my own little challenge this go around!  98% of all of my crafting supplies are still in packing boxes!  Yikes!!  That makes it hard to make a card!  So, I scrounged around my stamping room and found a few odds and ends and was able to put this card together! :)

Lots of happy, bright birthday colors! :)

Side view.

The twist-y part of our challenge!

Hope that you can play along over at Twisted Tuesdays with us!  Here is the link!  Come on over and play!

Have a great day!  I will be back soonest with more craft-y goodness to share!

2TC#5

Hello!  Guess what day it is?!  Twiiiisted Tuesday!!  Take a look here at this weeks challenge!!  It is a sketch challenge  What fun!!  Sketches are a great way to get your mojo hopping!  The twist is that you must use pearls!  Here is the sketch:

...and here is my twist-ed card:

I stamped my leaves and then ran my background image through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice EF. I used both Rhinestones and pearls which I don't usually do, but I really liked the way it looks!
