Hello!  Happy Tuesday to you!!  Have you tried making a tri-shutter card yet?  They are so much fun!!  I made another one recently at one of my classes and wanted to stop by and share it with you.  Tell me what you think:

This one uses my favorite color combo!  Pink, brown, green and vanilla!  *swoooons!*  I love these colors together!  I added several flowers and butterflies and a pretty bird!  You could add photos or quotes or go with a whole different theme!!  Fun,  fun, fun stuff!!

View from top so you can see how this card stands on it's own.  It also folds flat and will fit into a regular card sized mailing envelope for mailing!  Scooooore!

ABC Challenge!

Monday, Monday, Monday and that means it is time for another ABC Challenge!!  Wooo Hooooo!  Today's challenge is to make a Mother's Day card. Lots of opportunity to stretch your creativity on this one! Here is one that I made:

I had Vintage in mind when I set out, but my colors wound up being too bright!  I did grunge up the flower a bit and did some sponging around the edges of everything, but I think I missed the mark on Vintage! LOL

I used the Fancy Flower Big Shot die to make my flower and embossed the Vanilla and Green pieces of card stock.  The butterflies are from the Papillion Potpourri stamp set and I added one of those oh so pretty ribbon lace roses!  Love, love, love those!!!

Here is a close up picture to show some of the details.  I had a good time with this challenge!

Be sure to head on over to ABC Challenges and check out the beautiful cards from my talented design team members!  Your turn!  Make a card and link it on up!  We would love to have you play along!

Hope you have a peachy day today!  I am off, but will be back soonest with more to share!

Doesn't this look like a fun bunch of snow peeps?!!  I just think this snow crew is too cute for words!!

Background is embossed with the Snowflake folder (retired!).

I added some Dazzling Diamonds to make these cuties sparkle and shimmer!  Simple card using greens, browns, vanilla and reds.

Fa, la, la, la, la, la, la , la ,laaaaaaaa!!!

How are you coming with your cards?  Keeping up with the challenge?  If not, now is a perfect time to dive right in and get started!  There is still plenty of time for you to make a big ole pile of cards before Christmas!

Retired list and a few favorites!

Hello!  Today is the big day!  The Stampin Up! Retirement list comes out!!  This is always such a bittersweet time!  I hate to see some of my very favorites going, but they always bring in so many fun new wonderful things it is hard to keep pouting for long! :)  If you haven't seen the list yet you can find it here.  Lots of things are discounted! Wooo hoooo!  Also, keep in mind that the accessories are while supplies last!

In honor of the list making it's debut today I pulled out a couple of the sets that are saying farewell to make a card.

I used Summer Solstice and You are Loved for this one. I used the masking technique to stamp the leaves 'behind' the flower.

I added some banners and pearls to dress everything up.  The background was run through the HoneyComb EF.

I think the butterfly, circle banner and banner create kind of a triangle that your eye follows!  That worked out pretty darn well! :)  I really do hate to see these gems go, but am soooooo excited to see what the new catalog will have in it!!

Hope your week is going well!  I will be back soonest with more to share!  Have a great day!

Hello!  I have another one of those fun pull out cards to share with you today!  I just love this card style!  They are so easy to do and are a nice change from the traditional fold on the side card.

Lots of butterflies!

Close up!

Here is the card with the center pulled out!  Lots of room to write a note to somebody!

Hope that you are having a great day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

ABC Challenge!

Hello!  Is your week off to a good start?! I sure hope so!  I like Monday's because it is the beginning of a whole new week!  It gives you the chance to start things fresh and to get lots done!  It also means that it is time for another ABC Challenge! The challenge this week is to use something recycled  on your card!!  Just think of the endless possibilities for this one!!  Here are the recycled items I used on my card:

We did some shopping this weekend and I snagged these tags off of hubby's new clothes!  Here is what they look like recycled:

I covered them with DSP and added some cute flutterbyes and flowers!

I dry embossed the brown scallops right onto the pink piece!  I added two Very Vanilla scallops and tied it all up with a ribbon!

Close up of everything!  This was a really fun challenge card to make!

Be sure to check out this week's challenge and all of the awesome cards the design team made!!  You can find it all here.

Have a great Monday!  I will be back soonest with more to share! :)

Simply cards class!

Hello!  I had the best class last night!!  It was a Simply cards class!  I love cards and always appreciate having a few extras laying around for when I may need one in a pinch!  Tonight's class gave us the opportunity to start a pile for just that purpose. Would you like to see some of the cards we made?

Couple of Happy Birthday cards!  These always come in handy!

These are for a more general purpose.  Just thinking of you or Get Well or Just Because!  We made these in pink and blue.

Tag pulls out for your sentiment!

Think this one was my favorite!

We had a great class!  Getting together with friends is always so nice anyhow!  If you weren't able to make it maybe we will see you next time!

I am off to enjoy the weekend!  Lots going on!  Have a wonderful day!
