Thinking of you!

Hi there!  I am so happy you stopped by! I was just thinking about you! :)  I spent a little bit of time in my stamp room playing this morning.  Getting all crafty first thing is such a great way to start the day! I wanted to make a card for a special friend, so I set to work and this little guy came to be:

I used Crumb Cake as my base and started by embossing part of the front with the Cable Knit Dynamic EF.  That thing just screams cozy sweater!!  I punched several 3/4" circles, cut them in half and tucked them under a strip of DSP from the Painted Autumn DSP pack.  That paper is gorgeous by the way!  The sentiment is from the Count My Blessings stamp set and that (oh so pretty!) Fall leaf is from the Vintage Leaves stamp set.  I covered it with Wink of Stella which made it sparkle and blended the ink to add color. Win, win!

I made a cluster collage by adding a 1 1/2" Gold punched circle, a small strip of Burlap ribbon, the leaf and a gold dot punched from a standard hole punch.  I really love the look of layers!

I decorated the inside of the card using the same DSP and stamp from the front.  Decorating the inside just makes the whole card feel more complete!  :)

Here are all of the goodies I used to make my card today:

I hope that you are able to find some time to be creative today!

I will be back soonest with more to share!  Have a great day!

Fall sampler Fun!

Hello and happy Friday to you!  I got it into my head this morning that I wanted to make a sampler and what better theme than Fall since tis' the season! I thought it might be a time consuming project, so I figured I would get it started and work on it as I could, but once I got started I just kept plugging away until it was all finished!  Take a look:

I absolutely love projects like this because you can create several tiny works of art!  I started with a piece of Crumb Cake and cut it down to 8" x 10".  Then I started adding all of my colored squares in like puzzle pieces.  After I got everything where I wanted it, I matted smaller pieces against them and then started decorating!!

I gathered up lots of my Fall images and sentiments and got busy!

I stamped this piece, cut it out and adhered it on top of the leaves.  I covered the whole thing with Wink of Stella for some added shimmer.

This little guy uses the small leaf from the classic Lovely as a Tree stamp set.

These are the pieces in the center row.  I used the same color scheme on every piece for a nice united look.

Left hand side.  Lots of fun details.  One of my very favorite things about this project is that it allowed me to use up lots of scraps from my scrap pile!!  Samplers are an excellent project for scraps!!

Here are the goodies I used to make my project today:

If you haven't made a sampler yet, I would highly recommend trying one!  They are so much fun and look so pretty on display!

Time for me to go, but I hope that you have a great day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!
