Top Note Purse!

Hello, hello, hello!! Happy Friday! Hope you are doing well! I am sorry to be MIA, but my life has been on overdrive lately! Busy, busy, busy! I sure have missed you though!

While I was away I had a wonderful meeting with my stamp club girls! We are on month 4 of our 6 month club! It has been such a blast! There is always a lot of laughter and fun and cutting up to be had at our meetings! I will be sharing some of our projects over the next couple of days with you! Hope you like them as much as I did! The first project we dis was an adorable purse made from the SU! Top Note die. It is one of my very favorite dies because it is so versatile. I found the pattern for this purse along with an awesome tutorial on how to make these fun little flowers on this blog. Julie is amazing! I just love her stuff! I used Cottage Wall DSP form SU! and Sage Shadow and Pale Plum for the base of the purse. These are quite roomy and would hold a nice amount of chocolate or even tea bags or maybe even some little nail polishes and nail accessories! They would make really cute gifts! Here are a couple that I made:

The flowers are quite addictive! They go together really quickly and you can make them in any color you want! Fun, fun!! You will see lots more of these in future projects!

I will be back soonest with lots more to share! Have a wonderful day and happy stamping!

I'm sorry!

Hello! Happy Monday! I wanted to share a sympathy card that I made recently for my very sweet neighbor. Her mom passed away and I wanted her to know we were thinking about her. They have been our neighbors for the past 15 years and I think so very highly of them both. They are super nice folks and I am just feeling so sad for her. These are my very least favorite cards to make because they mean that someone somewhere is feeling bad. I tried to add some 'happy' to this card to make her smile. My heart is just breaking for her. Here is my card:

I used a level 3 Hostess set from the Stampin' Up catalog and the scallop border punch for the trim. I added some shimmer to each of the leaves. I sponged around the main image with River Rock to make the card look soft. I used the color combo River Rock (retired), Pink Pirouette, Whisper White and Chocolate Chip. I addded some butterflies from the SU! Beautiful Wings Sizzlet.

Sorry to cut it short today but we have a very full afternoon! We are off to gymnastics and soccer practice! Hope that you have a nice day! Be back soonest!

Crafty Critter Challenge #25

Hello! How was your weekend?! Hope it was wonderful! Ours went by so fast! We were busy all weekend so it just flew by! What's new?! :)

It is time for another Crafty Critter Challenge! This one was hosted by Melanie. *Hiya Melanie!* Here are the particulars:

I know we all like to combine challenges. I see everyone doing it all the time on their blogs. So for this challenge it's going to be a Challenge Combination.

Element 1: Place a flower somewhere on your card. This can be a paper flower, prima flower, stamped flower image, flower dp, etc. As long as there is a flower on your card.

Element 2: Embossing, I want to see embossing. This can be dry embossing with your Cuttlebug or Big Shot or it can be heat embossing.

Element 3: Use SCS sketch SC273.

Have fun!!
-Melanie

I learned how to make these adorable little flowers recently and have had so much fun making them!! They are so addictive! Everything on this card was taken from my scrap piles (A personal challenge to myself to use up more scraps!) Here is my take on the challenge!

Also, here is a link to a fantastic tutorial by Julie Buhler to make the flower! I warn you though...once you get started it is hard to stop! :)

Ok, I have tons to get done tonight, but will be back tomorrow with more to share! Have a wonderful night!

Hello! Happy Friday! How are you?! Hope that you had a wonderful week and that you have a fun weekend planned! I am in awe that it is Friday already! This week has just flown by! Guess that happens when you are busy, busy! I thought I would share my swap card from my demo meeting with you and also the super fun project that we made during the meeting! Our swap theme was a Spring card using one embellishment. Here is my card:

I used all spring-y colors and used my punches to make the flowers. I used no stamping at all! My embellishment was the butterfly resting on the flower. It is one of Stampin Ups! sizzlet dies. It makes a ton of adorable little embossed butterflies! Love it! I dry embossed the purple panels with the Polka Dot embossing folder and used the scallop border punch on the yellow panels. It felt like a happy card to me! :)

This next project was our Make 'n' take project. We used the Big Blossom die and the Big shot to cut the flowers from thin pieces of metal! The Big Shot is amazing!! We put them together using dimensionals. I bent the petals around a pen to give it some shape and then added a tea light candle! So pretty! :) Here it is:

Thanks for stopping by! I will be back soonest with more to share! Have a great day!

Time for a change!

Hello!! Happy Wednesday! What a nutty day I have had today! I was busy from the minute I woke up to just a few minutes ago when I finally sat down! I wanted to stop by and shout out some news to you!! Stampin' Up! is getting ready for a big change!! They are getting ready to have a BIG COLOR RENOVATION!!!!!! They are changing things up a bit and bringing back some of the old In Colors, dropping some of the current colors and restructuring the families! They will now be called Collections and they are beautiful! Here is a peek of the changes:

Now I must admit that I am not usually crazy about change, but I am feeling excited about this one! If you do not see your favorite colors on this list be sure to stock up by July 1st!

I had a super full day today so I am going to hit the hay! Hope that you had a wonderful day! I will be back soonest! :)

Paper beauties!

Hello! How was your Easter weekend?! Wonderful, I hope! Ours was very great! My son was able to come home for the day for a surprise visit! It is always so nice to have all my people together! :) We had a nice day yesterday! It was full of family and good food and the weather was just beautiful!

I stumbled upon the prettiest thing on my rabbit trail hopping yesterday morning and was so excited to try this!! I am in love with all of the Stampin' Up! punches and anytime I can use them to work outside of the box I just get so excited!! In addition to that I have absolutely no green thumb at all! In fact, seems the only thing I can successfully make grow is my children! LOL And even more exciting than the hope for my lack of ability to garden is the fact that my home school group is getting ready to have prom and our theme is enchanted forest! Now I know it sounds as though I have gone off the deep end with this post, but just wait until you see these beauties!!! I promise to explain after the pictures! See:

Aren't these just so pretty?!! I was so excited! They are made using the Stampin' Up! ornament punch which is still available until April 30th, but is on the dormant list. I love it when you can find multiple uses for the punches! They will make beautiful decorations for our prom and I do not have to worry about watering them!!! See, so that is a triple whammy! LOVE it! I believe these originated in the Stampin Success magazine, but I found a great tutorial here. Check out her site, she does really great work! I plan to make oodles of these in all different colors!

Ok, my day is full so I am off to get busy! Hope that you have a wonderful day! I will be back soonest!

Hey there chick!!

Hello! It is an amazingly beautiful day here! Sun is shining and it must have gotten up to 80 degrees!! I am LOVING it!! Hello Spring...bring on Summer!! In the mean time, can you believe that Sunday is Easter already?! Goodness, time is zooming by!

I wanted to stop by and share some of the little goody bags I made recently to add to some care packages! This is such a cute little chick! I used the SU! Top Note die for the base and the 5 petal punch for the sprig of hair! The beak is made from the Full Heart punch and the eyes and lids from circle punches (all Stampin Up!). She just melts my heart with that sleepy little face! I stuffed the baggies with lots of chocolate-y goodness! :) Here they are:

I hope that you are having beautiful weather and a great day! I will be back soonest!
