Oh, Hello....Fall!

Hi there!  I woke up this morning with Fall on my mind!  Then I stepped outside and it is about a ba-zillion degrees out there! LOL  Leaves will be changing in no time though and we will be dragging out those sweaters!  (but certainly not today!)   I am looking forward to the crisp days off Fall!  It is my very favorite season!  Can you guess what direction my card took today?  Take a look:

Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler!!  Can you just smell Fall in the air now?!

I used the fun new EF called Alphabet Press for the Vanilla background.  The whole Vanilla/Crumb Cake mat is popped up  with Dimensionals and tied up with striing!

The Details:

Stamps: Oh, Hello and Wonderfall
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and In Color DSP
Ink: Cherry Cobbler and Pumpkin Pie
Punches and Dies: Alphabet Press EF
Extras: Dimensionals

Hope your weekend is full of fun!  We have a busy one ahead, so I better scoot!  Have a great day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Gift for a friend!

Hello!  The weekend is only a minute away and for lots of folks that means a long weekend!!  Yaaaaay!  I kicked off my long weekend by working on a little gift set for a friend.  It is just one of those quick little I was thinking about you gifts, but is full of love though! :)

A little gift basket full of mints, because the recipient doesn't care much for chocolate (GASP.....I know!!!!).  I still like her anyways!

The sentiment says Wish big and is from the stamp set Pennant Parade.  The flowers are the Pansy punch and double layered and attached with a dimensional.

I altered a mini composition notebook for her too!  The paper matches the flower on the mini box.

Here they are together!  Hope she likes them! :)

Do you have fun plans this weekend?  Not sure what we are doing yet, but I am pretty confidant that it will include hammers and nails! LOL

Have a great day!  I will be back soonest with more craft-y goodness to share!

Baby girl!

Hello!  So, have you heard....I am going to be a grandma!! :)  My oldest son and his sweetie are expecting a baby girl soon!   VERY soon!  Needless to say, I have babies on the brain right now!  My DIL-to-be and I have been throwing around baby shower ideas and so I spent a little bit of time playing around this morning with some of those  ideas.  One of the things we are doing at the shower is providing a candy table.  We wanted a cute container for people to be able to load their candy into so this is an option:

What do you think?!  Maybe round those corners?!  This is made from a 6 x 6 square and scored at 2" and 4" on two sides.

View from the top.  We will be adding a clear plastic bag inside of the paper to hold the candy.

Backside!  Cute, cute, cute!!  Would love for you to leave me a comment and tell me what you think about these!

The details:
Stamps: Baby Bundle and Zoo Babies
Paper: Strawberry Slush and Blushing Bride
Ink: Primrose Petals
Punches and Dies: Rectangle Die (retired)
Extras: Dimensionals

We are all getting pretty excited around here! Babies are such an amazing thing!! :)

Enjoy your Wednesday!

ABC Challenge!

Good Monday Morning! Time for this week's ABC Challenge!  The challenge today is to make a card using NO flowers!  Piece of cake, right?!  Well, I thought so until I sat down to make my card!  I didn't realize how often flowers were my go-to thing! Do you use a lot of flowers in your cards?  Here is my flower-less card:

Ok, so it has lots of butterflies, but they aren't flowers! LOL  Everything got a good sponging around the edges to grunge it up a little bit.

This card uses one of my all time favorite color combos. The stamp set is the new adorable Timeless Talk.  I think that bicycle stamp is precious!

The Details:
Stamps: Timeless Talk
Paper: Soft Suede, Blushing Bride and Very Vanilla
Ink: Soft Suede
Punches and dies: Honeycomb EF and Bitty Butterfly punch
Extras: Rhinestones and sponges

Hop on over to the ABC Challenge site and check things out!  See you over there! Have a super day!

It is Rudolph! I made the frame using the Scallop Border punch and a 3 x 3 square of card stock.

Also, thought I would share some news that may be quite dull to you, but is super, duper exciting to me!!!  As I have mentioned, we are building an addition onto our house.  This morning we got the last of the roof trusses lifted and stood up!!!!!!  Yay!!  We are doing this ourselves.  We haven't hired builders or a construction crew...we are the crew! :)  It has been a really interesting and rewarding process so far, but lots and lots of hard work.  Here are a few shots of the trusses in place:

The last five are bundled together until the end wall gets built.   Exciting, exciting stuff!!!

Ok, I think I have about typed your ears off so I am going to scoot!  I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend though!  I will be back soonest with more to share! :)

Techniques are fun, fun, fun!

Hello!  Are you having a good weekend?  Hope so!  I had such a great class last night!  It was a technique class and we learned lots of fun new things!!  Do you like techniques?  There are so many cool ones out there!!  Here are some of the ones we made last night:

This is the crinkled ink technique.  You make it by using a crinkled up piece of plastic wrap and dipping it into your ink pad and pressing it to paper.  I LOVE this one!

This is the color blocking technique!  Isn't is pretty?!

Faux denim Technique!  Looks just like a pair of comfy ole' blue jeans!

Twisted Kissing Technique

Stippled Brush Background Technique

Collage Technique.  I really love this one too!!

If you have any questions leave me a comment or shoot me an email., but right now I have to run!  I am about to be late for dinner! ;)  Enjoy your day!

Hello there!

Well hey there! Quick post tonight! I have a tiny little hello basket to share with you! This is my favorite kind of basket....the kind that holds lots of chocolate! :)  Take a look:

Hey, Pumpkin!

Hey there!  So I was walking through the store yesterday and turned the aisle to find that they have already started putting out Halloween stuff!!!!  It isn't even September yet and they are already filling the shelves with candy and spooky decorations!!  Guess I shouldn't really be surprised..........seems like it gets earlier every year!  I do happen to like Halloween though, so today when I was making my little card I found myself feeling inspired by the Halloween theme!  Here is my spooky little card:

It is tiny!  Only measures 3" x 4 1/4".  I made the border on my banner by writing a scary little Boo! message over and over!  I outlined the Vanilla piece and added some rhinestones that I colored black with a Sharpie.  Are you feeling scared yet?! LOL

This was a fun card to make!  Although by the time I was done I did find that I was having an intense craving for some chocolate!  LOL

The Details:
Stamps: Perfectly You
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede and Basic Black
Ink: Pumpkin Pie
Punches and Dies:  Scallop Circle, 1 3/8" and Hexagon
Extras: Dimensionals

Ok, then!  I am off to my next adventure!  Hope you enjoy the rest of the day!  See you soonest!:)

Sweet Celebration!

Hi there! :)  I have a yummy fun middle of the week project to share with you today!  This is made from one sheet of card stock and the handle is stapled on!  Take a look at this cute little guy:

I used one of my favorite new sets called Cycle Celebration!  I am not a bike rider myself, but love bicycles!!  Is that crazy!? LOL  I think this bike is very sweet looking!  The only thing that would make it any cuter would be a basket full of flowers on the front!

I tied the sentiment on to the handle and added rhinestones to the wheels!  I colored them with a Sharpie marker to make them that pretty blue color.  Then I filled it full of chocolate goodness! :)

The details:
Stamps: Cycle Celebration ans Pennant Parade
Paper: Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla
Ink: Coastal Cabana
Punches and dies: Decorative Label punch
Extras: Jute twine and Rhinestones

Hope the middle of your week is being good to you!  We have been super, crazy, nutty, busy around here!  Not sure if I am coming or going anymore! LOL

I will be back soonest with more to share!  Have a great day! :)

Hi again!

Hello!  Quick post!  We are putting up  roof  trusses on our addition today and I have ducked in for just a minute to share a card with you! :)

I have been having the best time playing with the new Labels Thinlits dies!!  There are just so many fun little shapes that come in that package!  I went a little wild with the colors, but I think they work well together (or at least bounce off of one another and make for a happy, fun card!).

I used the negative from the arrows for my yellow layer.  The hi, the arrows and the label are all from the set!

The Details:
Stamps: None
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Coastal Cabana, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush and Very Vanilla
Punches and Dies: Labels Thinlit Framelit Dies and Polka Dot EF
Extras: Rhinestones

Ok, I have to scoot back outside!  I will be back soonest though with more to share!  Have a super day!

ABC Challenge time!

Happy Monday to you!!  Time for another ABC Challenge and I think you should grab your paper and favorite stamps and play along with us!!  Today we are making cards with layers!  LOTS  and LOTS of layers!!  I think I wound up with 6 layers on top of my card base and then an embellishment to top it all off!  Take a look:

I just love this stamp set!!  It is called Yippee-Skippee and it makes me giggle out loud when I use it!  The sayings in this set are just so cute!!  This is one of my favorites!

I stamped the background to create my own DSP using two of the tiny little stamps in the Pennant Parade set!  It pulled all of the colors in together. I colored my rhinestone with a Sharpie.

The details:
Stamps: Yippee-Skippee and Pennant Parade
Paper: Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla
Ink: Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush
Punches and Dies: Large Scallop Circle and 1 3/4" Circle
Extras: Dimensionals and Rhinestones

Come on over to ABC Challenges and eye spy all of the other cards being made using lots and lots of layers!! See you over there! :)

Ok!

Kind of clean and simple, but festive and Merry all the same, yes?!  I think the pearls just add a little something to it!

I made my own DSP by stamping some Crumb Cake with the small (but oh sooo wonderful stamp!!) from Pennant Parade.  I just love that little guy!!

The details:
Stamps: Pennant Parade and Perfectly You (Hostess set)
Paper: Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla
Ink: Cheery Cobbler and Old Olive
