A Mother's day gift that keeps giving!

Hello! How is your weekend going? We are having a very nice weekend so far! It is a little cloudy and gloomy, but that makes for perfect crafting weather in my opinion! :)

I wanted to stop by and share a gift that I made for some of the Mom's in my life! I made one for my Mom, my MIL and my Gma! I got the idea and inspiration from one of my very sweet friends, Melissa!! *Hiya Melissa!!!* She found the idea here. Great blog, so check it out when you get a minute! :)

I thought this was such a fun little gift! You make the accordion tag card and then stuff a packet of seeds (flower, vegetable or spice!) into the pocket! You can customize it for the recipient! It folds up to be presented as a flat-ish kind of card but then opens and stands on its own! These were really fun to make! Here are the pictures of my Mother's day gifts:

Ok, lots to do today! Enjoy your weekend and squeeze the folks that mean something to you! It is really important! I will be back soonest! :)

Pink, pink, pink and pink!!

Hi there! Happy Friday!! Hope that your week is ending on a happy wonderful note!

I belong to a super fantastic group of crafty girls who have recently donned themselves the Crafty Gals! It is a small group made up of some really terrific girls! We take turns hostessing a challenge once a month and this month was my turn! We all complete the challenge and send one to each member of the group! May was my turn so I challenged everyone to make a mono-chromatic card using the color of their choice! I chose pink (of course!). LOL Here is my card:

I used a SU! texture folder for the background and kept everything in the pink family! I used the modern label punch, the scallop border punch and the stamp set Vintage Vogue. Everything is SU! I was really happy with the way this turned out!

Have any fun weekend plans?! We have a soccer game in the early am and lots of misc running around to do! Hope that you have a full and fun weekend! I will be back soonest!

Hate to post and run, but I still have lots to get done today! I will be back soonest though! Hope you have a great day! Happy stamping! :)

Bird house or milk carton?!

Hello! Happy Tuesday! Spring is definitely in the air! Everything is so green and the birds are all out flitting around! Butterflies are flying by!! I love spring! It just feels so fresh and new. Today's project just screams spring. I saw this on Marie's blog and until I did was absolutely certain that I did not need the milk carton die! Boy was I wrong! I broke down and bought it and have had so much fun with it since. It was in the SU! Occasions mini, which is no longer available unfortunately. I am keeping all of my fingers and toes crossed that it will make it into the big cattie come July though!! Here is another use for that cute milk carton die:

If you haven't checked out Marie's Blog, be sure to! She is super talented!

Guess what?! I have the most exciting news!!! I AM GOING TO THE STAMPIN UP! CONVENTION!!! I am so excited that I could just bust! It is in July in Utah and I will be there this year! I have never been to July and have never been to convention! I am looking sooooo forward to it! I do not know how I am ever going to make it til July though! LOL

Ok, oodles to do today! Have a wonderful day and hey...go stamp something! I will be back soonest!

Framed bird card!

Hi there! Can you believe it is Monday already?! Yikes! Where does the time go?! I have another project from my stamp club to share with you today! This card was CASE-d from one of my very sweet demo friends. *Hiya Jane!!* She made a similar card for one of our demo meeting swaps and I just fell in love with it! I used one of my very favorite color combos for this one. Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and a touch of Melon Mambo with Wild Wasabi! The bird is framed in Chocolate Chip DSP. I ran the WW through the Polka Dot folder to give it some texture. I used the new scallop corner punch on the corners of one, but left the other one's edges plain. The picture doesn't do this card justice. It is really pretty in person! What do you think?!

You could make this and put anything in the 'frame'. Other punched pieces or a photograph or a stamped image! Lots of possibilities!

Ok, we have soccer and gymnastics tonight so I am outta here! Have a great day! I will be back soonest! :)

Awash two step card!

Hey there! Hope you are having a very nice Sunday! I have a quick post to share today! I made this card using the new SU! Awash two step stamp set! Wow-sers! Say that three times real fast...I dare ya! I am nutty about this set! It is so much fun and has so many possibilities!! It will be available in the new Stampin Up! catalog which will be available July 1st!

I only have one sample for you today, but will be using this set a lot in the future! It comes in both clear mount and wood mount and although I like the wood I am enjoying the ease of the clear stamps! It makes it a breeze to line up the two steps!

Here is my card:

I used SU! Ballet Blue for the card base and used the Top Note die as the base for the flowers. I added faux stitching around the edges with a white gel pen and added a Navy ribbon. This would be a good card to duplicate for a swap!

Ok, I am off to spend time with my family, but will be back soonest! Have a super day! Happy stamping!

Giant Tags of Love!

Hello! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Our day started super early today with a soccer game! SCOOORE!! :) My hubby has been away on business all week and I am so excited to say that he is coming home today! Yay!! I have really missed him!

I thought I would stop by and share another project from my stamp club with you! I wanted to make some tags and since I have made so many of these cute little flowers lately I thought this would be a perfect combo! The tags measure 4.5 X 3 (ish) and are made using SU!'s Pink Pirouette, Ballet Blue and Wild Wasabi ( a retired color that will be making a come back in the new Stampin' Up! cattie! (Sooo excited about that!!) I used the 5 petal punch to make the leaves and tied a tiny little Very Vanilla Ribbon on the top! I think these would be a perfect addition to any present and may even be cute enough to stand alone sans present! :)

These were really fun to make! I think next time I will add another flower (I am hooked!) and maybe a butterfly or two!!

Hope it is sunny and happy where you are today! Have a wonderful Saturday! I will be back soonest with another project! Happy stamping!
