When inspiration strikes, who am I to tell it no?! :)

Lots of fun details on this card!

Here is a better view of the main image!  If you have any questions about the card feel free to send me an email!  I would love to hear from you!

Hope you have a great Saturday!

Too much happy!

Hey there!  Week is just buzzing right along! Thought I would pop in and visit for a bit before my day got nutty.  I have a card to share with you today.  This is another let's use up some of the scraps on my table instead of putting them away kind of cards! Anyone else do that?!
Surprise!  It is all pink and happy!  (Those two things just compliment each other so well, don't ya think?!)  I punched the butterflies out of my Blushing Bride layer and mounted it against a piece of Rose Red.  I ran the top 3/4's of the card through the Polka Dot EF and then added the bling-y bellies to each butterfly. The sentiment is from Yippee Skippee and the bitty butterfly is punched out of Silver Glimmer paper.

I stamped the sentiment and punched it out using the 1 3/4" Circle punch.  Then I punched and matted it against the 2" Scallop Circle punch.  I added the dots to the scallops to keep the polka dot theme running through the whole card. Happy, happy, happy!

Hope that your Thursday is filled with happy!  I will be back soonest with more to share! Have a great day!

Thinking of you!

Hello there!  Have you been crafty yet today?!  I spent about an hour in my stamp room this morning working on a card. It is a simple card, but it required a lot of fussy little details to make it come together.  While I was in there stamping, cutting and glittering my little ole' heart out I got to thinking about how important this silly stamping thing has become to me.  I joke all the time that it is good therapy and much cheaper than a therapist, but there is some truth to that!  It has been such a beneficial outlet for me over the years and I can honestly say that it may be partially responsible for maintaining my sanity.  I have created cards  to welcome babies into the world. I have created cards to offer love and luck to people on exciting, new adventures. I have created cards that were intended to let someone know how very special they are to me.  I have created cards to bring a smile to someone's face.  I have created cards to wish someone a happy birthday, cards to lift someone's spirits, even cards to poke fun at someone!  I have slapped together paper and stamped it in an attempt to offer condolences to friends that were experiencing loss (even though mere words can seem inadequate sometimes).  I have stamped through my own happy times and not so happy times.  Stamping and creating have become very important to me.  It has become part of who I am and I am grateful to have found such a wonderful outlet.  Soon I will be stamping wedding invitations for one of the dearest people in my life.  My oldest daughter will be tying the knot and she has honored me with the task of sharing that sweet occasion with people.  She has been on my mind a lot lately so my simple card today is for her.  My sweet, amazing, adorable, often a hand-ful kid! Love you Tyler!

She lives at the beach so I thought she might get a kick out of this card!

I created layers by tearing and adding Dazzling Diamonds to the waters edge and sands edge.  I stamped and (fussy cut!!) the octopus, sea stars, crabs and flag pole from the set Seaside.  I added some details to the sand with Gorgeous Grunge.

I sponged the clouds and the sunshine using a negative mask.  I even drew foam in the water with a white gel pen and tiny little crab foot-y prints with a marker in the sand.  The sea stars also have some Dazzling Diamond sparkle to make them shine.

Here is a picture of my kiddo!

Hope that you can find some time today to be creative!  It doesn't even have to be stamp related!  Creativity is just so good for you!

I will be back soonest with more to share!  Have a wonderful day!

Thanks...big time!

Hi! I have a bazillion and fourteen things that I want to get done today, but I wanted to stop by here first and visit with you!  The rain has finally stopped falling out of the sky (although there are still some thunder-boomers in the forecast for this afternoon!).  It will make me pretty darn happy to be able to squeeze in my walk raindrop free today!  I sat and played this morning with some of my favorite oldies and a some of the new products from the holiday cattie that will be available August 28th!!!!  I put together a thank you card this morning with what I think has a touch of a vintage feel to it.  Here is my project for today:

I sponged the edges of everything with Crumb Cake ink.  I wanted the card to look worn, but only gently worn! I used the Timeless Talk stamp set and the new oh so fun (!!!!) star border punch.  (Spoiler alert!!!) LOL

My colors are the deep, gorgeous Blackberry Bliss, Blushing Bride and Whisper White.  I used the DSP Typeset and also Silver Glimmer paper.  (Have I mentioned that I would wall paper with that stuff if I could------->every room?!)  :)

In keeping with the theme I added silver stars and silver accents to the wheels with Dazzling Diamonds. This was a fun card to make, plus it shimmers!  Win, win!

Ok, well as much as I would like to hang around (and I really would!!) I am off to be productive!  Hope you enjoy your Tuesday!

Much love!

Shoe box swaps rock!!!

Hello there! It is another soggy Monday here!  It has been raining for days!  Everything is all splooshy and wet! Including our chickens who absolutely refuse to stay inside their chicken condo where it is all warm and dry and cozy. Silly birds!  Anyhow, I have the neatest post to share with you today!  As I  have mentioned before I get together once a month with a fantabulous group of stamping buddies.  We always do a fun swap,  chit chat about stamping business , have a demo and all do a make n' take project.  Plus there is always enough yummy food to make you leave 12 pounds heavier than when you got there!  When I say yummy food I am seriously serious!  This is the cooking-est bunch of folks I know!  Good, good, good stuff!!

Well our August meeting is one of my very favorites of the year!   This is when we do our Shoe box Swap.  Everyone shows up with a project to share and enough  kits for everyone to make that project.  We shuffle from table to table and make them all (taking breaks of course for food!).  Every single project this month was awesome!  Want to see?!

Awesome spritzer holder box by Kaye.

Oh so cute re-inker box by Catherine.

Beautiful card by Melanie. She had a stamped image in the center originally,  but there was a flower that I had made a couple days before at home sitting on my desk just waiting for a project to live on and this one was perfect for it!!

Oh soooooo cool screen card by Jo!

Fun notepad and pen dvd holder by Connie!

Matching pocket on the inside and pen!

Adorable little gift bags by Kavi!

Gorgeous tag by Carolyn!

Love, love, love!!!

Beautiful card by Teri!

So very pretty!

Cubed paper box by Jane!

Fun project too!

Holds this beautiful rainbow pad of paper!

Finally this was my project.  It is a holiday mini album.  I received an album at Convention using this design made by Linda Pittman. (Thank you Linda!) I played with it until I figured out how to replicate it and then dressed it up for the holidays!

This would be such a happy little album filled with holiday photos!

Ok, well I am off to play in my stamp room!  Since it is damp and cool and soggy out it seems like the very best place to spend the rest of my day!  Hope yours is a great one!

Hello there...rainy day!

Hello!  It is dark and dreary and rainy out today!  One of those days that begs you to curl up in your sweats and your softest socks and read a good book with a big ole glass of tea!  Instead I have been running all over trying to get things done.  I did sit down and make a card, but try as I might the lighting in the whole world is dark so getting a decent picture was a challenge!  LOL  Thought I would share anyhow. Please pardon my stinky lighting though!

I used my new EF Lovely Lace and my new stamp set I Like You for this card. I cut the card stock to add some visual interest to the card and tied a tiny scrap of ribbon around it.   I curled my little banner up, made my butterfly 3d and pop dotted my heart up!  Lots of texture and 3d goodness on this card! :)

Just a fun little card to say hello and I am thinking about you!

Details:
Stamps: I Like You and Kinda Eclectic
Paper: Blackberry Bliss, Blushing Bride and Whisper White
Ink: Strawberry Slush, Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey
Punches and Dies: Lovely Lace EF, Circle Framelits, Heart punch, Banner punch and Butterfly punch
Extras: Rhinestones and scrap o' ribbon :)

Ok, still lots to do today!  Eventually I do hope to wind up curled up with that book and my fuzzy socks!  Have a great day everyone!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! :)

Hello!  Happy Thursday!  I spent some time this morning working on some little thank you cards for my wonderful stamping customers!  I got the new Beautiful Bunch stamp set in the mail yesterday and have fallen head over dizzy heels in love with it!  Craziest thing is that when I first eye spied it in the catalog I didn't care for it!  At all!  Didn't think I needed another flower set (who was I kidding! LOL).  It is a beautiful set!!!  I knew it would be perfect for this month's thank you notes and I was right!  Just look how cute these little guys turned out!!

There was the pink one!

And the blue one!

And of course the green one!

Here are some of them together!

I used Typeset DSP for the paper strip. I punched the flowers out and then stamped their centers!  Doesn't get much easier then that!  They are all pop dotted onto the card and have a tiny touch of silver Dazzling Diamond in their centers!  I stamped the word thanks in coordinating ink on the side and then they were ready for a little message and then giving! Stampin UP! is so awesome about offering coordinating products!  The punch coordinates with the set.  The ink coordinates with the paper! Loooove!

Ok, my To Do list today is scary long so I am off to get going!  Hope that your Thursday is a great one!  I will be back soonest with lots more to share!  I am expecting some new goodies today and cannot wait to do some paper playing!!

Much love!

For my mom!

Hello there! I have a special card to share with you today!  I got some new goodies in the mail and when I sat down to play with them I decided that I wanted to make something really special. The very first person that came to mind was my Mom!  She is the coolest Mom ever!  So, my card today was inspired by and is for my Mom.

It is a simple card with soft warm colors, but the sentiment is full of meaning.

The stamp sets that I used are Beautiful Bunch and Work of Art.  My colors are Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, Midnight Muse, Crumb Cake and Whisper White.

I added Dazzling Diamonds to my flower centers for some subtle sparkle.  The flower centers are fussy cut and pop dotted up.  One of the flowers is adhered directly to the base paper and the second one is on a pop dot too. My leaves are the splashes from the Work of Art stamp set.

Sometimes the simplest cards are the very best! This one is for you Mom!  Love you! :)
