Triple layer easel card...uh-huh-uh-huh-uh-huh!

Hiya!  Middle of the week Wednesday!!  I made such a fun card this morning!!  It is a little bit dreary out so I thought a sweet pick me up kinda card was in order.  Take a look:

It is a triple layer easel card!!  That is three times the fun!! LOL  This was my very first attempt at making one of these, but I followed Kim's awesome tutorial found  here and it was a breeze!  Walks you right through it!

Here it is from the side all easel-ed (technical term!) up!

Another side view.

It closes flat for mailing.

Also folds back this way for a different visual effect.

This thing is so cute all set up in easel mode!

The details:
Stamps: Polka-Dot Pieces and Cycle Celebration
Paper: Pistachio Pudding, Pink Pirouette and In Color-DSP
Ink: Gumball Green, Baked Brown Sugar and Pink Pirouette
Punches and Dies: Circles Framelits, Elegant Butterfly punch and Bitty Butterfly punch
Extras: Rhinestones

I know that I told you I would have house pictures to share today, but hubby got everything all tarp-ed up before I was able to snap any!  I do promise that as soon as the rain stops and the tarp comes off I will snap some and share!  Hubby has built stairs and we got all but two of the pieces of sub-floor down yesterday!  Wooo hoooo!  Go away rain!!!  I've got a house to build! :)

Have a super day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Oh, Hello!

Hi there!  It is a beautiful rain free day here!!  That makes me especially happy because we are working on laying sub-floor on our new second story-to-be today!  Yay!  Pictures tomorrow!  I just love productivity!!!! Speaking of which, I am sure you didn't stop by to hear me ramble on about the weather! Want to see the card that I made this morning?!  Ok, then!  Here it is:

I inked up the new Gorgeous Grunge set for the first time this morning!  I decided that it is indeed that...gorgeous!!  I am trying to learn not to judge a stamp set by it's first appearance, because until you have added ink to it and made contact with paper you just never quite know!  It wasn't my favorite set at first glance, but now my mind is racing with possibilities!!

This card is going in the mail today to someone that needs a bit of cheering up!  Hope it does just that!

The details:

Stamps: Gorgeous Grunge, Field Flowers and Oh, Hello
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Crumb Cake and Whisper White
Ink: Blushing Bride, Primrose Petals, Gumball Green and Baked Brown Sugar
Punches and Dies: None
Extras: Dimensionals

I am off to play carpenter!  Have a wonderful day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

ABC Challenge time!

Hi and happy Monday to yooooou!  It is time for another ABC Challenge and this is one of my favorite kinds of cards to make!  The challenge this week is to make a card using your scraps!  Yep, scrounge around your table and throw together a beautiful card using left over pieces from other cards and projects!  We all have a pile, box, bag, file cabinet, suit case, trunk, extra room....full of scraps, right?!  Let's put them to good use!  Here is my card for this weeks challenge using up some of my scraps!

Come play along with us! You can find the challenge here!

Have a great day!

Christmas card Sunday #30 and a few other goodies!

Well hello there! :)  I am back with a Christmas card and some other goodies to share with you! Here is one of the cards we made at my Christmas in July class last night:

It is a criss cross card and your sentiment tucks inside and pulls up and out ward like this:

I used the gorgeous new flurries framelits to cut out that shimmer-y snowflake.  It is resting on a belly band!

This is another one using the same design, but different papers and the sentiment is stamped in a different color.  These are fun to make!

Here is another one of the projects we did:

It is a mini album!

Here is is with one opening....

....and here it is opened all the way!  The crumb cake is a little book with four pages front and back to add pictures!

We also made a couple little tags:

Wouldn't these be so cute on your Christmas gifts! :)

Ok, I am off! I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend!

I will be back soonest with more to share!

Gifts!

Hello!  How is your weekend going? I had a wonderful Christmas in July class tonight! We made some really fun projects that I will be sharing with you tomorrow!  I do have one little thing to share tonight though.  One of the fun things I learned at Convention was to make these cute little gift holders:

These are made from a 6" x 6" piece of DSP.  You put a piece of sticky strip along one edge and then roll it into a cone shape.

Then you fold the top down over the back and seal it!  I tucked a stamp into each one of these for my club girl's tonight to thank them for coming!

I will be back tomorrow to share my weekly Christmas card and the other projects we made tonight!

Have a great night!

Last of the Convention fun!

Hello!  We had another busy, busy day today!  We are trying to beat the rain that is moving in tomorrow and make some progress on our addition! We have boxes all over the house right now!  Hubby and I are sleeping in the living room, both my girls are sharing a room, my oldest son and his sweetie are setting up in our room and my youngest son is gearing up to move out of his room and into his new one!  Can you say madness?!!  It is a whirlwind of chaos right now!  Tonight though we all sat down to dinner together and just talked and laughed!  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE having all my kiddo's (plus my new one!) here!

On that happy note!
I have just a few more photos to share with you guys from Convention!

This was the AWESOME 80's cover band!  They played for several hours and we danced until they stopped!!  I had so much fun!  This may have been one of my very favorite parts of Convention!  I had a blast!

They had ribbon dancers.......toooooo cool!

There were several around the room!

These guys ran around performing!  They were so funny!

After everything wrapped up we went to the cheesecake factory!  It was really good!!!
I got the chocolate mousse cheesecake!

We saw these funny cows on our layover in Texas!  I thought they were pretty cool!

Here are all of our bags piled in the back of Kaye's van after we arrived back on the East coast!

I got home to find this yummy thing waiting for me!  My hubby is awesome!!!

We really had a great time!  I went with a super fun group of ladies and met up with lots of wonderful friends and met so many new wonderful friends!!

Well, this day has about gotten away from me, but I wanted to be sure to stop by!  Have a great one!  I will be back soonest with more craft-y goodness to share!

Convention fun continued!

Well hey there!  How was your day?!  I don't think I have stopped moving since I popped my eyes open this morning!  Been another full, full day!  I do have more pictures from my trip that I thought I would share with you!

This is the cute name badge that we received!  Since there were International demos in attendance this year they named your city and country rather than state!  Rumor has it that it was supposed to be a conversation starter!  I met so many really nice international demos!  It was pretty dang cool!

This is the beautiful bag that we got! It is white and silver!  I am afraid to use it because I do not want it to get dirty! LOL  It really is very pretty though!

Here are the goodies that came inside!

This was the theme this year!  The ceremony opened with one of the contestants from The Voice singing a Be the Difference song!  Awesome stuff!!

This is one of my most very favorite restaurants in down town Utah!!  I have eaten there almost every year that I have attended and twice this go round!  Yummmmm-o!!

One of the classes that we took!  Lots of people!!!  Great class!  Lots of good info!

One of the display boards!

Another display board!!  So many beautiful cards to ooooh and aaaaah over!

More eye candy!

And more!!

Every body got a Paper Pumpkin kit!!  This is a new monthly kit that you can sign up for!

These are the goodies inside the box!  An album kit, a stamp and an ink spot!!

Here were some of the delicious goodies that were at the After Awards party!!  They had bicotti, coconut macaroons, cookies, cake, cupcakes, mousse...so many calories to choose from! LOL

Here are some of the cupcakes!

I have lots more to share with you tomorrow!  Have a great day!

Convention fuuuuun!!

Hello!  What a full, busy, crazy, nutty...did I mention full day it has been!  My oldest son and his sweetie are moving in with us for a while so we spent the day moving out of our room which equates to a disaster area in our house! LOL  Things are such a wreck!   Stuff everywhere!  It makes the OCD side of myself twitch a little! Despite the chaos and the mess (and there sure is a big mess!!)  I am really happy to have all my kids back home!  Makes my heart feel full!

I do have some Convention pictures to share with you!  I have been meaning to stop by all day, but this is the very first free minute I have had!

The morning I left!  Stayed up super late the night before and was go, go, going on about 3 hours of sleep!

First view of Utah from the airplane!

Our  midnight snack was this pizza from Big Daddy's!  It was actually more of a 2am snack!  It was yummmmmy!

View of the Salt Palace from our hotel room.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous the whole time we were there!

One of the signs outside of the new mall.  It  is an absolutely gorgeous mall!  Lots of glass and plants!  Even has a stream running through it!

Here we were on the bus headed to Riverton for the tour! It was a fun ride!  We met lots of new friends!

Here are my convention buddies and I at the notorious rock! Left to right: Coleen, Candi (bottom), Kaye, Jane and I.

This is the entrance to Riverton!  Isn't is just so pretty?!

Here I am chilling in one of their tiny bean bag chairs!!  Everything was all fun and games until it was time to get up! LOL

Distribution center!  Look at all of those wonderful boxes full of so many great goodies!!  Le sigh!

This was our view from the bus on our way back to the Convention center.  Just look at those mountains!!

Here we are waiting for the first General Session to start! Lots of excitement in the room!

This was the SUDSOL swap!  It was one of the 4 organized swaps I participated in.  There were close to 300 participants!  WooHooo!  Beautiful cards!!

Ok, I am going to close for tonight!  I am one whooped pup!  I will be back tomorrow to share some more pictures! :)

Have a great night!
