My stamped image and sentiment are both from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and I stamped them in Melon Mambo and Old Olive.  Quick and easy fun card!!

Manly card times two!

Hello there! Are you a guy?  Do you send cards to guys? Do guys even like cards?! LOL I needed to make a couple of masculine cards for a swap I am participating in and always struggle a little with those.  I tend to be a little heavy handed with the bling and the fru-fru flowers and all things that shimmer and sparkle and don't know if guys actually appreciate all of that goodness.  I tried to  tone it all down a little bit and this is what I came up with:

My base layer is Night of Navy and the other layers are Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.  I love this balloon stamp set!  It just feels so care free and fun to me.  I stamped the large balloon first and then again on a separate piece of paper; which I fussy cut.  Then I stamped the two smaller balloons on top and then layered the large one on top of all of that.  I wanted to give it a little lift, but didn't want to raise it too much.  I added a strip of designer paper from the Under the Mistletoe pack to the side for a pop of color.

I embossed 2/3's of the card with the Basket Weave embossing folder and added a punched circle on the bottom.  I like layers!  I stamped my clouds in Pool Party and used a Blender pen to add a touch of color.  Fun stuff!

On to the next card:

For my second card I switched the layers around a bit, but kept the same color scheme.  This card feels more peaceful and serene to me.

The stamped image and sentiment are from the High Tide stamp set.  I used the two step stamp technique for the light house and water.  I want to get lost in this card!

Here are all of the goodies I used to create my cards today:

I hope that your week is off to a good start!  I will be back soonest with lots more to share!  Have a great day!

Christmas Card Sunday

Hello there!  Well, July is swiftly on its way out the door!  Time to start thinking about your Christmas cards yet?  The holidays will be here before we know it and I don't know about you, but anything I can to do to get ahead of the stress game and make the season more fun, sounds like a great plan to me!  I try to make a Christmas card or 2 every Sunday!  I would love to have you play along!!  Here is my card today:

My card base is Real Red and my layers are Whisper White and the very festive Under the Mistletoe DSP.  I embossed the background with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder and ran the edge through the Big Shot using the gorgeous Detailed Lace Edge Framelits.  I punched the little designs in the corners using the Detailed Trio punch.

The sentiment is from Snowflake Sentiments and that sweet deer is from Seasonal Chums.  I cut him out using the coordinating Seasonal Tag Framelit set.  I added a few Silver Glimmer Accent dots for a little bit of extra pizzazz!  Fa, la, la, la, la....

Here are all of the goodies that I used to create my card today:

If you feel inspired to create a Christmas card or two, I'd love to see them!

Hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend!  I will be back soonest with more to share!
