Feel better...ok!

Hello! :) Happy Tuesday! Can you believe it is already the very end of July?! Where in the world has this year gone to? Weren't we just ringing in the new year last week?! I am just in awe! They say that is a sign of age, but as a woman who has celebrated her 29th bday for the last several years and counting I refuse to believe that! LOL

Thought I would stop by and share a card I made for a super special friend! (Hi Melissa!) She had surgery this week and I wanted her to know I was thinking about her! This cute bunny is a C.C.Designs image and one of my very favorites!! How cute is he?! I turned the image into a 'To Do' list which we all seem to need nowadays! I personally know that if I jot down my to do's that they are much more likely to get to done! LOL

I made a clip board using a rounded connecting circle punch and frayed the edges of the paper using a SU punch! I added lots of flowers and sparkly bling and a ctusies little ribbon! Hope it brings a smile to her face! I had to add extra postage to account for the giant hug I squooze into the envelope! :) So, Melissa...feel better...ok?!

Have a great day! I will be back soonest! :)

Awwww...thanks! :)

Hello! This is post number 2 today! I know! Can you believe it! LOL I am a firm believer of saying thank you! It is a little thing, but to me one that is really important! It doesn't take that long and makes people feel good! I participated in a 6 month Secret Sister Swap and I was lucky enough to have a super duper Sister! She spoiled me rotten! I have to admit that I figured out early in the third month who my Sis was and contacted her to say thank you in advance! I felt a little silly doing it, but it was important to me that she know I sincerely appreciated the effort and thought that went into my gifts! We exchanged a few messages during the rest of the swap! Really nice girl! :) Anyhow, I put together a little box of goodies to send to her at the end of the swap to say thank you and this is the card that I included with the box!

I popped the wings up off the page and glittered the heck out of them! It is very sparkly and cute in person! I hope that she enjoys her goodies! :)

Ok, I have more but will wait for another day to post! Maybe tomorrow! Hope that you have a wonderful day! Be back soonest!

Card kits anyone?!

Good morning! How is everyone today?! Doing well, I hope! :)

I spent most of yesterday working on a swap! I say one because I seem to be slower than molasses! LOL I intended to get several done, but this one took up all of my time! It is a really fun swap though, so it is ok! :) The rules are simple...6 girls to a group. One girl hosts each month! She sends out kits that allow each group member to make 6 cards and send them to everyone in the group! I received my first kit on Saturday and started right away! The kit included these adorable images and background paper and a lengthy piece of ribbon! I knew exactly what I wanted to do and when I tried it...it flopped! LOL I trashed that idea and started over! I punched and tied and stamped and cut and...it took forever! The background paper was a pretty shade of green and had hearts on it. I tried to incorporate all of those colors throughout the card! I think I like how they turned out! I am still deciding on that! LOL I do know that I LOVE the idea of a card kit! It makes you think outside of the box for sure!

I am considering hosting a swap myself for some scrapbook page kits! Thought that would be fun too! Anyhow, here are some pictures of the kit and the finished project! What do you think?! :)

When they open the image is cut away from the card so there is no top! I tried to make them interesting and a little different! They seem a little busy, but I think it works! Sorry about the dim lighting. It was rainy and gray outside so I tried taking these inside!

I have more to share and will be back later! Have a great day! :)

A little Sympathy!

Hello everyone! :) I needed a sympathy card recently and I don't know about you, but I always struggle with these. I always feel like I am fumbling through them! It doesn't seem to matter how straight the cuts are or how perfectly everything lines up the card just still seems so inadequate to me. When someone passes away there just do not truly seem to be any right words. To try to gush something out and wrap it up in a nice package like a card just feels really tough to me. I do it anyhow, because it is the little thing I can offer. I made this one for hubby's step dad. He lost his mom suddenly to a brain hemorrhage last week. It was a sad thing. He is such a nice guy and it was tough watching him have to go through this. I tried to keep it very simple. This is the card I made:

Recipe:
Paper: SU! Wild Wasabi, Sahara Sand and Whisper White
Stamps: SU! Stem Silhouettes, Studio G
Ink: SU Bravo Burgundy
Extras: SU! Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Pop Dots and Bling

Have a great night! I will be back soonest! :)

CCC #8 Hey Chick!

Hello!! How is everyone today?! Doing well, I hope! It is time for Crafty Critter Challenge #8! :) The challenge was to use Sketch SC234, one embellishment and a digital image! Now I have never used digital images before so I was a little concerned about this one! I searched through lots of images though until I found one that jumped out at me! The site this came from offers some really cute images and every Wednesday offers a free one! It came from Dustin Pike and I just fell in love with this little guy! I mean...how cute is he!? I knew as soon as I saw it that this would be the right choice for my first digital image experience! Since this image just screamed for a cutsie sentiment I jumped right on adding my own! My embellishment was a set of blue bridal flowers adorned with some sparkly bling! I think it came out very cute! I colored it in with SU markers and painted over it with a slightly damp paint brush to soften the look! I am tickled with how it came out! This was a super fun challenge, but I think I will probably stick to stamping my images from now on! I had a time getting this one to print out and behave! Thanks Melanie for a great challenge! :)

Here he is:

I have lots more to share and will be back soonest! :) Have a great night!

More LOTW's!

Hello! I have a few new LOTW bits and pieces to share! :) These little guys are just so fun to make! I will keep the chitter chat brief tonight though because it is super late! I promise to come back and share the completed words once I get them back in the mail!

Before I show them though I wanted to share some exciting news! My wonderful, sweet hubbby surprised me last week with a brand spanking new Cricut Expressions! I was blown away!! I am talking so excited that I almost pee'd! He is so amazing! It wasn't my birthday or our anniversary or anything! Just a plain ole Wednesday! It was an I love you gift! I really am the luckiest girl ever! (Love you, Cory!!) Once I get the hang of using that big guy I hope to get tons of scrapbooking done!!

Finally, (so much for no chitter chat, huh?!) I have been working in my craft area and have made enough progress to actually have an organized space to play in! Yay! Projects...here I come! :)

OK, now for the letters!

"S" in Rockstar! I used the SU Curvy Label Punch and Word Window Punch!

"S" in Boys! I used my Cuttlebug to cut out these adorable trains!

"S" in Girls. Pretty pink Butterflies from SU paper with glittery bling for the bodies! :)

Have a great day! Be back soonest! :)

Happy Fourth of July!

Hello! Hope your Fourth of July was bright and colorful and full of family and friends! :) We had a picnic and fire boomers with the family. The food was super yummy and hubby set off a lovely display of fireworks!

It has been a long crazy day so I will keep this post brief, but wanted to stop by and share a little something with you guys! :) I recently received a super sweet package from a friend! It was a total surprise and very, very thoughtful of her to do! It was full of fun goodies and she included a beautiful hand made card! She really brightened my day! The really cool thing is that I have never even met her! She and I belong to an online Sister group! She sent me a package out of sheer kindness! I wanted to make her a little something to let her know how much her package meant to me! I went shopping and gathered some goodies (and chocolate!)! I made this little gift for her and a card and popped everything in an envie and mailed it out to her! I know that she has since received it so can go ahead and post here! Thanks soooo much, Nikki! :)

Have a wonderful day! Be back soonest! :)
