Practicing! :)

Hello!  Happy Thursday!  So, I mentioned yesterday that I was all signed up for Convention and part of convention is participating in some of the oodles of organized swaps!  I have already signed up for 5 (Yikes!!) of these swaps!  ((I am soooo excited!!))  So yesterday I spent a little time playing around with some ideas.  One of the swaps I signed up for is a Simply Adorned swap.  Stampin Up!  offers a jewelry line that you can make charms and inserts for the charms called Simply Adorned.  They are like making teeny tiny little masterpieces!  The canvas size that I signed up for is only 1" X 1 1/4"...little bitty!  They are really fun to make though!  Here are a couple that I worked on today:

This one is on my very favorite all time DSP called Vintage Springtime.

This one is also on Vintage Springtime DSP and uses the Modern Label punch and the flower from the 3 pack punch set. The stamp is from the Charming stamp set.

Here is the first one in the charm and on the necklace. The front is made of beveled glass and is really pretty!

Close up of the charm.

I am also signed up for a punch swap!  I have to make 40+1 punch card pages.  I have not decided what punch art piece I am going to use yet, but this little  guy is near the top of my list:

Isn't he adorable?!  He makes me grin every time I look at him!

Here is another little guy I threw together using the Build-A-Blossom punch, Word Window, Circle from 3 pack, Crop-O-Dile circle punch and small heart from 3 Heart punch. Ok, that about does it for today!

Hope that you have a wonderful day! :)  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Bag Tags!

Ok, so not that I am counting or anything, but there just so  happen to be only 76 sleeps left.........UNTIL THE 2011 STAMPIN UP! CONVENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am so excited already that I can barely stand it!  I went last year for the first time and had such an amazing time and now I am all signed up and gearing up to go again this year!    There are so many fun things about convention, but one of my favorites is the goody bag that you get for attending!  You get an awesome bag full of fun things!!  Everyone gets the same bag though so at any given time there are 3500+ identical bags floating around all in the same place!! Yikes!

This year  I am going to convention  with a few of my fellow demonstrators and as a little "We're going to Convention!!" gift I made each of the girls a tag for their bag-to-be!  It makes it so much easier to spot yours when there is a distinguishing tag!  Here are the tags I made:

I cut the tags out by hand and added layered card stock and some bling!  I used everyone's favorite color for their name and tag colors. The Very Vanilla piece was run through an EF to give it a little texture.  The bottom is edged with the scallop border punch and I hand made each of the flowers by layering them and bending the petals. They each have a tiny pearl in the center.  They are punched from the 3 pack punch set and the leaves are from the 2 step bird punch. They were really fun to make! :)

Did I mention that I am so excited?!!!  I will be back soonest with more to share!  Have a great day!

Happy birthday Daniel!

Hello!  Gosh!  Where does the time go?  My youngest son had a birthday yesterday and turned "old enough to get a learner's permit"! That makes three driving children for us...yikes!  He is such a wonderful, sweet amazing kid and I am so proud of him!  Here is my little boy...all grown up:

Isn't he handsome?! :)

Here he is with his temporary learner's permit!

Here is the birthday card I made for him.

Happy, happy birthday Daniel!  I love you very much!

Lots to share today!

Hello!  I have lots to share today so I am going to dive straight in!  Today is my daughter's last gymnastics class before easter so I wanted to make a little Easter goody for her coach.  She is such a sweet girl and what better way to say hello and thank you and have a nice Easter than to slap on a bunny and share some chocolate?! :)  My bunny from my last post found a home (yay!).  We made Coach Tonya a 2-4-6-8 box.  (It is actually a 2.5-5-7.5-10 box!).  Here is her little gift:

I stamped the box and added an Easter egg and hello tag with some ribbon and twine.  I put the bunny on with a couple of pop dots to add some dimension.

Side view!

 The yummy center!

The Easter Bunny has been in kind of a tizzy working in over drive today as he started assembling a few baskets for my kiddos.  He and I had talked it over and decided that this year we just weren't going to do baskets, but then someone caved and Project Basket Mass Production began!  EB and I did decide to keep them simple this year though!  Here is a basket for my oldest! (He is 21, but tradition is tradition, right?!)

See, simple!  Standard fun little toys, a Dove (solid) bunny, some candy, a stuffed bunny and a tooth brush of course!  My compromise with the Easter bunny! LOL    EB and I also worked on a basket for my son's girlfriend.  Here are the tags that went on the baskets:

Fun, fun!  I secretly love putting together these baskets, but shhhhhhh!  Don't tell! :)

The last thing I have to show you is really, really special to me!  I have a very sweet and wonderful friend named Kaye (Hiya Kaye!!!)  She sent me this adorable Easter treat because I wasn't able to make our last demo meeting.  She is really talented and I always look forward to seeing her projects!  Take a look at the beauty she made for me:

Look at those gorgeous eggs!  She dyed one of them with re-inker!! The other looks like it is hodge-podged using DSP!  They are beautiful!!

Thank you, Kaye!  You touched my heart!  I am grateful to have you in my life!  Big, big hug!

Ok, well I am posting from gymnastics class and it is almost time to go so that is my cue!  Have a great day! I will be back soonest!
