We went this weekend and got our tree! That was fun! That is actually one of my favorite parts of the holidays! We go to a local tree farm and pick out the world's most perfect tree (We do that every year! Good trick, huh?!) My oldest son was able to come with us so that was especially nice! (seems like he works all the time now) We had a great time! We came home and ate mini eclairs and cheese and crackers while we decorated the tree and started to decorate the house, but only got midway through. My youngest is under the weather and just didn't have the ooomph to get all the way through. Our plan is to get everything up, out and lit over the course of this week!
Thought I would share some photos from our day with you!
Here are my girls! Aren't they adorable! : )
This is our perfect tree eating my son! Augh! LOL
My oldest two! : )
Everyone watches as Daniel does the hard part! : )
We all scrunched in while my oldest took the picture with an outstretched arm! Too funny! I sure love these guys! : )
Hope that you have a wonderful holiday day today!
Big hug! : )
Hi AM!
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny!
You have a beautiful family, and it looks like all of you had a lot of fun getting the tree! Great pics!
Beautiful family you have there AnnMarie! I hear ya about the holidays. I love Christmas too but feel like time is moving too fast and it is passing me by!
ReplyDeleteThat last photo is the BEST! I would put it on a Christmas card! Your family is beautiful!! I think I know what you mean about the holiday. I'm not exactly "feeling" it either this year. I don't feel grumpy about it, but I'm just not totally into it. I think it gets me when the last week of school for the girls is OVERLOAD! They're overwhelmed, there are a ton of activities, concerts, practices, after-school activities, etc. It's hard to be joyous when everything is so busy! So, I'm hoping next week will slow down and the spirit will find me!! Take care! I hope you find it too!!
ReplyDeleteHi AnnMarie,
ReplyDeleteBoy, do I hear you on the procrastination! I will shamefully admit I went and bought cards to send this year. (I know, it is shocking!) I have a few made for a couple of people but I can't figure out when I'll have the time to squeeze out more than a few.
Carol really summed it up in her comment, "It's hard to be joyous when everything is so busy!" Between my school and my son's, it is a jammed packed month. Sweet relief will come after services on Christmas Eve.
I adore the pictures you posted.
So happy to see a loving family out smelling the pines! You have a beautiful family!!
Hope your little one is feeling better. I have vivid memories of the Christmas my son had Scarlet Fever!
I am going to send you a PM on Splitcoast. Ning, PapercrafterPlanet and the rest are blocked by my fire wall at work.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
Lori
Awww, AnnMarie. . .your family photos are beautiful. I wish I could get my family together in one photo.
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel about Christmas. . .I thought I was behind last year, but this year I'm worse. I even made a new year resolution not to make the same mistake this year and oh, well. I'm not so motivated either! Arggghh! Time just goes by too quickly!! Life is too busy to enjoy all the Christmas festivities right now!!
Maria
