Ok, so I have signed up for about a bazillion swaps! I think I may be a little addicted to them! They are just so much fun! As quickly as I sign up for one I am out looking for another one to join! One of the most recent swaps that I signed up for is called a LOTW swap. It means Letter of the Word and the way it works is that you sign up for a letter of the posted word and you then make as many letters as are in that word + 1 for the hostess! For example I signed up for the "R" in SOCCER and have to make 7 letter "R"s. I will send my "R"s to the hostess and she will send me back the completed word! They are great for Scrapbook page titles! This was my first LOTW swap and I was a little nervous, but I was super pleased with the way it turned out! This was really a fun thing! Guess what that means?! Time to sign up for another one! Big cheesy grin! : ) Here are my letter "R"s! They are tiny only about 2 inches square!
Hope you have a wonderful evening! Be back soon!

Card organizer!
Last month I made a card organizer as a bday gift and liked it so well I decided to make one for myself! I used Lauren's Timeless Templates to make this and am just tickled with the way it came out! I usually do not make anything for myself, so this was a real treat!
I used colors that I love and images that I love! It took me over a week to make it too! LOL I took the pockets with me to soccer and cut them out while my kids played! I took the tabs to home school group with me and stamped out the teeny tiny letters while we visited! (those little guys took forever!) I cut the panels in one sitting and stamped and glittered them in another sitting! I am really excited by this project! Now to get busy making the cards to fill it up! Big grin! : )
Also, on giant happy note!! I FINALLY figured out how to work my Nestabilities!! I have tried and tried to make them work and I just could not get them to cut out clean. So, I tried it one last time without the tan pad that the sales girlie INSISTED I needed to make them work and Viola!! Worked like a charm! Needless to say I cut out about a ba-jillion scalloped edged circles! LOL I know that all of the machines are calibrated slightly different, but mine apparently requires NO tan mat! LOL Yay!
Ok, I have lots to do today so I am off! Hope that you have a wonderful Friday! See you soon!

Hello and happy Thursday! I have a quick post to share today! My day is really full and I am already running behind schedule! LOL Anyone know where I can buy a few extra hours?!
I made this card for a special friend to let her know I was thinking about her! She had oral surgery recently and was feeling a little nervous about it. One of the many cool things about this friend is that I have never met her (in person!) We met recently through one of my online groups and she is wonderful! She is very sweet and I have really enjoyed getting to know her! Her surgery went well and she is recovering nicely!
Hate to be brief and run, but I still have tons left to do today! I am working on several swaps and hope to have lots to share soon! : )
Have a wonderful day!

WLG Challenge #3 Heart
Hello and Happy Monday! : ) Today I wanted to share a project I made for a really fun challenge! The challenge was to make a card using black and white only and a heart! Sounds easy peasy, right?! It was tougher than I thought it would be! The lack of color really stumped me! I love it when I have to think outside of the box! I layered black and white squares on the SU! Bigz Top Note and then cut it out on the perforated lines. I pop dotted that on top of a second layer of Bigz Top Note. Then I layered a negative image of a heart cut out on top! I added a sparkle gem to the corner and adhered the whole thing to SU! Basic Black card stock. I stamped the cute little polka dotted stamp in the center if each square. I faux stitched around the edges in white and added a tiny black and white ribbon to the edge! I was really pleased with the way it turned out! Thank you Kelly for the awesome challenge!!

A little love square style!
We had a ginourmous Valentine's Day party with my home school group this week! Each kiddo was supposed to design a fun and creative 'mailbox' type of thing to hold all of their loot! The party was a huge success and tons of fun! We played games and everyone made a flower boutonniere style out of coffee filters! There was a wonderful yummy spread and everyone had a blast! I was so proud of my kid's mailbox designs! I was only able to catch one on my camera, but the other two made awesome projects too! I thought I would share my youngest daughter's box with you! She is 10 and made the whole thing by herself! Isn't is cute?!
Have a wonderful night! :)

I must be Crazy for Cupcakes!!
Hello! Happy Thursday! I am sooooo sorry for my lack of posts, but it has been crazy busy around here! There just are not enough hours in the day...!
Ok, so my Crazy for Cupcakes set by SU! has been my go to set lately! Those cute cupcakes are just so much fun to color and just beg to be all glittered up! Since I love glitter it just seemed like the most logical choice! : )
This is one of the bday cards I made recently for a sweet and wonderful friend! Also, pictured is the swap I made for our monthly demo meeting! We were supposed to make something using glitter...anything we wanted as long as it shimmered! I decided to keep it very simple and was really pleased with the final result! I made birthday tags using one of my all time favorite color combinations! I think blue, pink, brown and cream are just so pretty together! I made an extra to keep for myself, but wound up giving it away at the meeting! Isn't that always the way?! LOL
Hope that everyone is having a wonderful day! : )

What says birthday better than a pile of cupcakes?!
Good morning! Hope everyone is doing well! : ) I wanted to share a couple of the birthday cards I made last month! I counted and I have over 14 birthdays that belong to folks that I care about just last month! That is a lot of cupcakes! LOL I used one of my favorite Stampin Up birthday sets for these cards! This set has become my 'go to' set for birthdays! There is just something so fun about a giant pile of cupcakes! : ) These cards are done in pink, blue, vanilla and chocolate chip! (sounds good enough to eat!!) I used a gold pen to outline the vanilla and added brads and sparkle gems! The icing on the cake is Dazzling Diamonds! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my glitter!!
I apologize in a big way for the lighting in the photos! It stinks...plain and sim ple! LOL I try to take my photos outside to use natural lighting, but if I don't get them at exactly the right hour they are too bright or too dark! The very sad truth is that I am from two (count them!!!) two parents that were professional photographers! Me, I got nothing! LOL I try and try, but my pictures tend to stink! It is ok...I am not too overly sensitive about it! LOL I do get a little frustrated at times, but I am okay with the fact that my strengths lay elsewhere! Silver lining! LOL : )
I am short on time today so I will be skipping the recipe, but will happily answer any questions should they arise! : )
The weekend is coming and I am hoping to catch up in all things craft-y! If you are anything like me though...I am never really caught up! There are always another three cards to make, a swap (LOVE my swaps!!!) due or a project that I am dying to try!! Big grin!
Have a great day! Be back soon!

Let's get organized!
Hello and happy Tuesday! : ) Hope everyone is doing well!
January is a month full of birthday's in my world! While I was making a birthday card last week it got me to thinking that I really need some sort of organizational method to keep up with birthdays and cards. I went blurfing (Blof surfing!) around and saw several cute ideas! I narrowed it down to a couple that I really liked and finally chose this one! The original design is by Lauren Meader. She is just awesome! The basic card pockets in the box come from her Timeless Templates (which are way too much fun!!). I put this one together from her instructions and added some personal flair! I gave this one away as a gift, but hope to make my own today! : )
It allows you to make ahead and organize/store your cards for birthday's and anniversaries! I used my Just Rite Stamps to personalize the front of this and to label the months. Each pocket holds two months worth of cards and the extra pocket in back could hold envelopes, pens, a list of all of your upcoming dates etc... It is small and takes up a minimal amount of desk space! I just LOVE this project! Now I just need to spend the better part of an afternoon making some extra cards to fill it up the pockets! : )
I am going to try to stop back by later today to share some of the cards that I have made this month! I have a full day though so if I do not make it back I will see you in the morning!
Have a wonderful day! : )
Recipe:
Stamps: SU! Merci, Just Rite Stamps, Tags and More
Paper: SU! Pacific Point, Bashful Blue, Whisper White and Sahara Sand
Ink: Pacific Point and Rose Red
Extras: Baby blue Ribbon, Mega scallop and circle punch, white gel pen
