Versatility of a stamp set!

Hello!  How's Wednesday treating you?!  Ok, so I have been doing some thinking about some of the reasons that stamping is so appealing to me.  It has become an outlet for me; a kind of therapy really!  Creating something pretty from raw materials is very rewarding to me!  It has become a stress reliever and goodness knows life can throw stress at you with both hands!  It is an avenue for socialization! I have met some of the most wonderful and amazing people through and because of stamping.  All the way around it is win win! :)  One of the reasons I am so over the moon about Stampin Up! is because they offer their stamps in sets.  In my opinion that makes the set much more versatile.  For example take a look at this set:

Here are a couple of things I made with it:

Using the cupcake liner and icing (yum!) stamps I made a few cupcakes!  I used the coordinating punch to punch them out.  I added sprinkles with the dotted stamp and used the heart stamp and candle stamp to dress up the center cupcake.

Side view.  I used the Heart Embossing folder for the bottom of the card and added some bling to dress the whole thing up!

Next I made a matching tag keeping with the theme:
I used the Bitty Banners to cut out the Happy Birthday sentiment.

Next I switched up the theme a little, but still using stamps from the same set I made this little gift basket:

It is a simple basket made from a 5" x 5" square using the scallop lace border punch to make the handle.

I also used it around the top edges to make the basket a wee bit taller.  I used crochet trim to make the bow and topped it off with one of the new Dahlias.

Close up of the bow.

View from the back.  This basket is covered with the flower stamp from the same cupcake stamps set!  I used markers to color it so the leaves would be green and the flowers purple.

Last card completely switches themes and colors, but is still from the same set:

The clouds are made from the cupcake icing and the basket is made from the cupcake liner!  How cute is that?!  the actual balloon was made using 1 1/2" circles.  I scored each down the center and then glued them back to back.  The sentiment is from the same set too!

Better view of the hot air balloon! :0)

See!  Lots of options from one set!  Makes me feel like I am getting much more for my money! Who doesn't love that?!

Ok, I have a full day ahead of me so it is time to tackle my To Do list!  Have a wonderful day! I will be back soonest with more to share!
