Happy birthday!

Hey there!  I have a birthday card and small gift idea to share with you today!  Nothing over the top fancy, but stuffed to the rim with love!  We have a very special family friend who is getting  ready to celebrate his big day and I wanted to send him a little something to let him know how wonderful we think he is!  This is the card I made for him:

Masculine card = guy colors!  Still struggle with these! I have to practically sit on my hands to keep from dressing them all up!

Lots of embossing, some faux stitching, some plain ole' silver brads, but no bling, ribbons or buttons! LOL

Happy birthday to a truly wonderful person!

Matching mini comp book decorated to match the card.  You can never have enough paper...It's true! :)  (Also, no bling!)  LOL

Gift combo!  Will add some yummy candies to the duo and it will make it's way to the mailbox today!

It is warm, but beautiful here today!  Love the happy weather!  Hope you are having a great day! I will be back soonest with more to share!

Surprise box!

Hi there!  How are you today?!  Hope you are having a great week!  We are in the middle...halfway to the weekend!!  I have the neatest little box to share with you today!  I about fell over when I saw this!!  I was blurfing (Blog surfing!) and came across it on Dawn's Stamping Thoughts blog here.  She has a great video tutorial.  You are going to have to try one of these!!  Sooo much fun!!  Here is my version of this adorable little box:

I just love this little guy complete with belly band to hide the seam and hold it all together!

Closed box, but without the belly band.

Sides down!

View from the top.

It will hold a lot of chocolate!  Notice my box is now empty...it was delicious! :)

Isn't that just too stinkin' cute?!

Speaking of cute...these are two of our fur babies!  They slept with their noses touching for a good long while!  The white one is ours and the brown one is our grand pup!  Aren't they so sweet?! :)

I hope your Wednesday is going well and that you have found some time to be craft-y today!  It is good for you, ya know! :)  Have a wonderful day and I will be back soonest with more to share!

Tuesday Twist-a-roo!

Hello, hello, hello!  Twisted Tuesday time again!! Today's twist-y challenge was to make a Hot, but refreshing summer card!  The challenge is to use the color red!!  *Sizzles!!*  I went back and fourth between watermelon and popsicles when thinking about my card!  Popsicles won!  Take a look:

I made a punch art popsicle using the large tag punch and the Word Window punch.  Then I used thw Boho Blossom punch to take a chomp out of my popsicle!  It is hard to see in the photo, but there is embossing happening above the Crumb Cake strip.

Popped that popsicle up with a pop dot!

Sigh!  Now I want a popsicle! LOL

This was a great challenge!  Come on over to Twisted Tuesdays and join us!  We would love to have you play along with us! :)  Just wait until you see the other cards by the Design Team!  They are awesome!!

Have a wonderful Tuesday! I will be back soonest with more to share! :)

Tea anyone?!

Hello!  Tea anyone?!  I have another teapot to share with you today!  This is the second one of these that I have made and although they require a lot of work I just love, love, love the way they turn out!  This may actually be one of my all time favorite projects ever!   My SIL and I had a play day recently and we spent the day working on a few cute projects!  This was one of them.  I have a collection of tea pots and teacups decorating my stamp room and so this little guy fit right in!  Take a look:

Done in all pinks!  (my favorite!)

Details on the front.

Flower made from scalloped punched circles.  Lid lifts off of teapot to hold goodies (like chocolate of course!).

I hope to make a couple more of these to add to my collection.   :)

Have a wonderful day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Tuuuuesday...time for a twist!

Happy Tuesday!  Time for another twisted challenge! Today's challenge is called Let's get 'Krafty' and Recycle!  For this challenge you are supposed to use Kraft paper and the twist is to use something recycled on your card or project.  Here is my card:

My card base is made from Kraft paper and my recycled item is from an old book!  I used the pages to punch out the flowers and the butterfly.  I sponged them and layered them to give the card some dimension.

Another angle.

The butterfly is layered and sponged too and has a row of bling for the body.  I used two different EF to add interest to the card and added a tiny banner under the circle.

Ok, your turn!  Head on over to Twisted Tuesdays and add your card!  We would love to have you play along!  Be sure to check out the amazing cards from the other design team members!

Hope you have a wonderful day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Little card and an award!

Hello!  Happy Monday to you!  Have I mentioned that I am going to the Stampin Up! convention????!!!!!  I am starting to get pretty darn excited!  One of the fun (one of many!!) things about going to convention is all the swapping!  I have signed up for a couple so far.  One of them is a 3 x 3  swap, so I have been working with that size a lot lately trying to figure out a design!  Here is one of the little guys that I made:

These are so much fun to make!  They are the perfect addition to a little gift!  I sent this card to a very sweet friend of mine! :)

Details:
Stamps: Field Flowers
Ink: Melon Mambo and Old Olive
Paper: Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette and Very Vanilla

On to other fun business!  Another of my very sweet friends (Hiya Carole!) honored me with a blog award!  I was so surprised!!  Thank you so very much!!  It means a lot! :)  Now I am supposed to present this award to 10 bloggers that inspire me!  This was an easy choice for me!!  I present this award to the wonderful ladies in my blogging group!  Each of you continue to inspire me on a daily basis!  So, please consider yourselves awarded!   Thank you again, Carole!!

Tons to do today!  Hope you have a great day!  I will be back soonest with more crafty goodness to share!

Happy Father's Day!

Hello! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!  Our weekend has been full of house projects, shopping and tonight we are having a cookout to celebrate Father's day!  :)  Doesn't get much better than that!  Thought I would stop by and share the card I made for hubby for Father's Day.  Since he has become our master grill go to guy I thought it would be fun to make him a grill!  I did some blurfing (blog surfing!) and found a couple of cute ideas, so I mixed and matched and added some of my own details.  You just cannot go wrong with punch art! :)  Here is his card:

That is dinner cooking on the grill! :)  They are turkey burgers and chicken hot dogs! (Since several of us do not eat beef in our family!)

Side view!

Fun little project!

Hubby got breakfast and coffee made by the kids and some fun goodies!

He is a big Dr. Who fan, so he got a mug for his tea shaped like the Tardis and a Science t-shirt that says "Look at me still talking when there's Science to do."  He is both a talker and a Science guru so it was perfect!   Isn't he handsome!  While he was opening his goodies I caught myself thinking how crazy I am about him!  Maybe even more so 22 Father's days later! He is a wonderful father...our kids couldn't be any luckier.  :)

Ok, off to get my day rolling!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend! I will be back soonest with more to share!

Mini Album Challenge!

Hello!  Well, Monday starts a new week.  It is all rainy and gray here today. Was hoping for some sunshine, but maybe it will happen later. :)  I have a fun, fun, fun project to share with you today. My sweet friend Nancy (who I happen to be in a blogging group with...HIYA Nancy!!!!) challenged us all to make a mini album of some sort this month.  Now my ears perked right up when I read that!  I LOVE all things mini album!!  I also happen to be in an upcoming swap that I have to make mini albums for so I needed an excuse to try out a new one.  I just love it when a plan comes together, don't you?! :)  I decided to go with a Meander Album.  These things are beyond adorable!  You start with 1 twelve by twelve piece of paper and wind up with an entire album full of pockets!  It is small enough to fit in your hand as you can see below, but has tons of room for small photos, tags and journaling!  Here is my album:

Here is the album all closed up. You can see the tags peeking out!

First set of pages.
Each page has a half circle punched out for a finger pull to get the tags out easily.

Here are two of the tags pulled out.

Next set of pages.

More pages!

...more pages

and more!

Did I mention all of these are made from one 12 x 12 sheet of paper?!  Crazy, huh?!

More pages (all with tags in them!).

Another tag peeking out.  They are all stamped using Bordering on Romance from Stampin Up!

Back cover of the album.

See!  Tiny enough to fit into my hand!

Everything that I used was from Stampin Up!

I will be making several more of these soon!  Thanks Nancy for a great challenge!! :)

Hope you have a wonderful day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Babies, babies everywhere!

Hello there! Saturday is such a wonderful thing! :)  Are you making the most of this wonderful Saturday?!  Done anything craft-y yet today?!  I highly recommend it! Go ahead!  I will wait...

Ok, I have a few baby things to share with you today!  Seems it is the season for new additions!  One of the sweet girl's in my blogging group recently had a little bouncing baby boy and so we threw her a baby shower!  It was a virtual shower though because we are all spread all over the country!  One of the challenges at our shower was to make her a 6 x 6 scrapbook page or two and send it to her.  That way she would have the pages already done and just waiting for pictures of her little guy. Here are some of the ones I made to send:

Here is the little card I made to send along with her gift and the pages!  It is a 3 X 3 punch art card The baby is peeking out to say hello!

My son's buddy is also due to have a baby any second!  They are expecting a little lady so her card needed to pink since they are using it in their decorating scheme.

I stamped their gift bag with oodles of baby items and made a matching punch art baby carriage with the baby peeking out!  Aren't babies just the grandest?!! :)

Ok, seriously...go be crafty!   Make something beautiful!  You will thank me later!  Enjoy your Saturday! I will see you soon!
