Birthday's, movies and general fun stuff!

Well hello there! Hope you are enjoying this beautiful weekend! It is so pretty outside that all I really want to do is go out and play!  The weather has been pretty nice here and I am so grateful.  My heart goes out to all of the folks dealing with the heavy rain and tornadoes though.  Pretty nasty stuff happening out there lately.

Thank you for stopping in to check on me and all of the nice inquiries I have gotten about my absence.  I am fine, just been busy, busy, busy!!  I will be around much more often now though! :)  So, in my absence I loaded up in the car with some fellow demos and we hit the road for the big town of Raleigh for the Stampin' Up! NEW CATALOG (!!!!!!) Movie Premier!! What a fun thing!!!  They were broadcasting the event live from Long Beach California, so it was like we were right there...plus the popcorn was delicious!! :)  I made a handful of swaps to take with me in case there would be any other swappers and sadly (besides our little group!) there was only one other swapper!  LOL  We managed to find each other though and did swap and laughed about the whole thing!!  Not a problem though---> I will just tuck my swaps away for Convention! As hubby pointed out, now I am ahead of the game!  Would you like to see my swap card?

I had so much fun making these! It uses lots of my favorite things!  

It's no secret that I like pink!  So it just seemed like a good idea to make a pink swap! LOL  

The Catalog Premier was really fun and at the end of the night we all got a copy of the BRAND NEW CATALOG!!!!!!  Woooohoooooo!!   Plus an awesome new stamp set!! *thud!! Falls over!!*  I absolutely love this new set!!  I have already played with it and will be sharing those projects with you very soon! There are sooooo many fun new things in the catalog!!  Going to be a very creative upcoming Stampin' Up! year!!  I can feel it in my ink pads!!!

On another happy note my youngest son had a birthday recently and I wanted to say how proud I am of him!!  He is the coolest kid!  He volunteers for the fire and rescue squad and is so sweet and handsome and smart and just an all around good  kid!! 

 In addition to all of these things he is also sneaky!!  He managed to talk my DIL into making him a homemade German chocolate cake for his birthday AND at the same time sweet talked me into making him a homemade carrot cake for the same day (without the other knowing!)! LOL  In addition to that his sweetie pie's grandma bought him a giant cheesecake for his special day!  Total win-win-win for him!   Here are a couple of his prizes:

Despite all of that I am actually very proud of him and love him more than words can even come close to describing!  Happy birthday to my very sweet son.  Much love!
