Hi there! Are you a fan of punch art? If you are unfamiliar with it, let me just tell you...! It is the art of creating a fun new something made up of punched pieces!! I sat down to make a card today and got to thinking about punch art and decided that I wanted to go in a different direction! Take a look at this funny bunny punch art piece that I came up with:
I had the best time making this little guy!!! He is free standing because I used the Home Sweet Home Thinlits as the base! His body is a house!! You can tell that better in the next photo! I will list what all of his parts are made from at the end. He is made from Whisper White Flirty Flamingo, Smoky Slate and Basic Black.
Here you can see that his body is made from the house in the Home Sweet Home Thinlits. It takes two of the die cuts to create the full house. I cut them. assembled them and started adding bunny parts!
Here is a close up of that funny bunny face. The sweet little buck teeth might be may favorite part!
No bunny is worth his salt without a fuzzy, bushy bunny tail! I made this by punching 3 1 3/8" Scalloped circles and balling them up. Once they were all balled up I rolled them around in my hands until they got all soft and crinkley! (My technical term of the day!) I peeled apart the layers giving me 6 pieces. I stacked them one on top of another and stapled them in the center. I gathered each one up towards the center and then gently ungathered them a bit creating this full, fluffy looking tail!
Here is a closer peek at the tail!
Here is a list of his parts:
Body...house from Home Sweet Home Thinlits
Hand paws and feet paws...door from the Home Sweet Home Thinlits
Hand paw pads...punches from the handheld 1/8" Circle punch
Head...2" Circle punch
Ears...Nesting Ovals from the Layering Oval Framelits
Eyes...1/2" and 3/4" Circle punches
Cheeks...1" Circle punches
Nose...Sweet and Sassy Framelits
Teeth...Home Sweet Home Thinlits (the bushes)
Whiskers...I hand cut strips from a scrap
Here are linkable pictures of everything I used to create my bunny today:
