Another swap card!

Hello, hello!  I have another swap card to share with you today.  This time  the swap called for a black, white and red card using the spotlight technique.  Ever heard of it? It is a way to draw attention to or 'spotlight' a piece of your card. It is a fun technique.  Take a look at what I came up with:

Red, white and black......check!  Spotlight technique........check!  I used the stamp set Very Vintage for the images and the sentiment.  I kept the card simple because I wanted the technique part to stand out.  Red, white and black is a striking color combo all on it's own, but the spotlight part adds a little something extra.

I used the Layering Circles Framelit dies for the spotlight part.  You achieve this look by stamping your bottom layer in one color and stamping a second image in a different color.  You cut the second image out in the shape of your choice (I went with circles) and then match it up on top of the original image.

Close up view of the spotlight.  Isn't that bee gorgeous?  He is also from the Very Vintage set.

Here is a list of all of the goodies that I used to create my card today:

Have any fun weekend plans?   Enjoy it, whatever you decide to do! I am off to run some errands!  Happy Friday!
