Happy birthday, Amy!

My son's girlfriend turned 18 this weekend! He jokes that this is a very expensive month for him! They celebrated his birthday, her birthday, their one year anniversary and Valentines day all within a two week span! : )

We went out to dinner with her family and topped the evening off with ice cream from ColdStone's...yummmmm!!!

I made her a little card and these letters to take to college with her to hang on her dorm room wall! I think she liked them! :) I faux stitched around the edges and mod podged the paper in place and then sealed it with the mod podge. I also ran a gold marker around the edges of the letters to create a gold trimmed look! Too cool! : ) (Great big thanks to Jane for the gold marker gift! )

Happy birthday, Amy!

Recipe:

Stamps: Gina K. Designs Wishing Well
Paper: Michael's Paper
Extras: Prima flowers and ribbon
Technique: Paper piercing and faux stitching

  1. What a nice b-day gift!! You did a fab job with the faux stitching!!! Anyone would be proud to have their name hanging on the wall done so beautifully!! Got me to thinking about my daughter - her b-day is coming up - maybe that's what I'll do - thanks for inspiring!!

  10. Hi Ann Marie! Wow, how nice of you to make the altered alpha spelling your son's girlfriends name. That is sweet of you. Love your card too!! Very pretty!

  11. I loooooove those letters, they are fabulous, we simply don't get things like that in the UK, well not without paying through the roof for them, but then having said that I don't think I have seen them this big before
