Card organizer!

Last month I made a card organizer as a bday gift and liked it so well I decided to make one for myself! I used Lauren's Timeless Templates to make this and am just tickled with the way it came out! I usually do not make anything for myself, so this was a real treat!

I used colors that I love and images that I love! It took me over a week to make it too! LOL I took the pockets with me to soccer and cut them out while my kids played! I took the tabs to home school group with me and stamped out the teeny tiny letters while we visited! (those little guys took forever!) I cut the panels in one sitting and stamped and glittered them in another sitting! I am really excited by this project! Now to get busy making the cards to fill it up! Big grin! : )

Also, on giant happy note!! I FINALLY figured out how to work my Nestabilities!! I have tried and tried to make them work and I just could not get them to cut out clean. So, I tried it one last time without the tan pad that the sales girlie INSISTED I needed to make them work and Viola!! Worked like a charm! Needless to say I cut out about a ba-jillion scalloped edged circles! LOL I know that all of the machines are calibrated slightly different, but mine apparently requires NO tan mat! LOL Yay!

Ok, I have lots to do today so I am off! Hope that you have a wonderful Friday! See you soon!

  1. Ann Marie..this is a great project..and you definatly deserve it! Don't you just love Laurens templates. My Gosh, is that girl talented. You have inspired me to make one as soon as I can.

The tan mat for the nesties is only for embossing. After you cut the image, you place the mat on the cutting side and it will emboss the edges. That would certainly explain why yours would not cut correctly. Unless, of course, you already knew that and were trying to emboss and I misunderstood you, LOL. Either way, I am glad you finally got a clean cut. They are definately must haves!

  3. Hi AnnMarie - I love your organizer. It sounds like it was a lot of work but it came out great.

I was going to say what Sandy did about the tan mat. If I can help, shoot me an e-mail!

  4. Hey AnnMarie!

I'm glad you got your nestabilities to work. I had my own issues at one point too. I couldn't figure out what side is the side that cuts but that's because I don't read instructions! LOL!

I love your project. . it's so awesome and so cool. I love it. What a great way to file stuff. Love the beautiful images and colors too! Absolutely gorgeous!

  6. This is adorable! I have a tan mat (somewhere) and I never use it. I tried to emboss with it but it comes out awful.

I love the nesties. I only own two sets but hope to have more one day. So glad you got some.

I love your card organizer, I may try it.
