Wheat and Lavender

Hello there!  Friday Color Me Beautiful challenge time!!  This week's challenge was just that!!  A REAL challenge!  I had to work hard to make this one come together!!  I just love that though!  Thinking outside of the box and stretching us past our comfort zones is really a good thing!!  After you clean up all of the waded up and discarded attempts from the floor! LOL  Take a look at the color palette:

Now if you are a purple person this will be right up your alley!!  I try and try and try, but I just am not a purple kind of girl! LOL  I mean it is a beautiful color, but it just doesn't feel like me!

Here are the Stampin Up! colors that we are asking you to use:

Seeeeeee....kind of pretty, huh?!  Ok, after many, many, many attempts at making these colors play nice together this is what came out of my craft room for this challenge!

I did manage to use all four of the colors!  Yay!  I also threw in a whole lot of extra!!  Embossing folders and Big Shot dies, punches, rhinestones and a gel pen...OH MY!!

I am on a banner kick so this seemed like  the logical thing for me to do! :)

I semi crunched my flower up to give it a little bit of interest!  If you know me though, you know that it made my eyebrows twitch to do it!  I like things to look neat and clean!   That would be kind of a hop out of my box rather than just a mild step!  Go me! LOL

I sure hope you will come over and visit us at Color Me Beautiful!  We would love to have you stop by and would really, really love to have you play along! :)    See you there!

Have a wonderful day! :)

Twisted Tuesday Time

Hey there!  Twisted Tuesday time once again!  Today's challenge was a goodie, but a toughie!!  I really struggled with this one!!  The challenge is to go Back to the Basics!!  That means no punches, no Big Shot, no Cricut cut anything!  Just the old time basics that were available when we all started out crafting and had nothing piled up in our craft stashes!!  Did I mention this is a tough one?!!  It is in fact so tough that Melina left off the twist!  Here is my Back to the Basics card:

Pretty simple, right?!

Kept with all shades of pink!  No punches, Big Shot additions or Cricut cut pieces!  Nothing fancy.  I did add a little shimmer and bling though!

Simply stamped and jeweled!

I challenge you to give this a try!  It was really hard!!!  I have become pretty darn dependent on my punches and Big Shot!  The card just felt kind of naked while I was putting it together, but I was happy with the end result!  Sometimes something simple is the perfect thing! :)

I am sad to say that this will be my last Twisted Tuesday card.  Although I have really, really enjoyed my time there I have decided to step down from the Design Team. I will miss these wonderful ladies so very, very much!  They are all incredibly talented and wonderfully sweet and warm people!  I feel very fortunate to have met them and to have had the opportunity to work with them!  Big, big hug you wonderful twisted women you! :)

Your turn!  Head on over to Twisted Tuesdays and get to creating!  Cannot wait to see what you come up with!!  See you there!

Simple and sweet!  This uses the new set Perfectly Preserved and although I thought I could live without it after playing with it I decided, alas, I could not!  I have had more fun with this set!!  It is a must have!

I am still in Tennessee, but will be home soon and will tell you all about Regionals!

Hope that your weekend has been full and fun so far!

Twisted Tuesday

Hello!  That time of the week again!!  Time for a twisted creation!  Today's is another fun one!  The challenge is called Flying By to Say Hi!  You are supposed to use something on your project that flies!  Birds, butterflies, airplanes etc...I went with the ultimate flying thing!!  See below!  LOL  The twist this week is to use 3 embellishments on your project!  Here is my challenge card:

That would be the one and only Santa's sleigh!!  :)

I  decided to get a little jiggy with the embellishments and use 4!!  Wooohoooo!  I used rhinestones, dazzling diamonds, dazzling details in silver and ribbon!!

Be sure to check out the blogs of the other wonderful Twisted Tuesday design team members!  They are all awesome! :)  Also, head on over to Twisted  Tuesdays and add your creation! :)  See you over there! :)

Welcome Y'all!

Hello!  Are you enjoying your weekend?   Sure hope so! :)  I have the neatest project to share with you guys today!  I saw a similar one on Michelle's blog over at Faith, Trust and Pixiedust recently and just fell in love with it!  She said she saw something like it on Pinterest!  Don't you just love it there?!  I sure do! Sooo much fun!  Anyhow, back to the project!!  Take a look:

It is a clothes pin wreath!!  Isn't that the neatest thing?! LOL

Lots of leaves cut from the Autumn Accents Big Shot die and a pumpkin!  I used the Typeset Alphabet Big Shot dies to cut the letters "Welcome".

3D pumpkin made from Circle punches, and the Modern Label punch!

Flat pumpkin also made from Circle punches and the Word Window punch.

Another view of the whole wreath!

Here is is hanging up!  I just loved making this!!  It is Fall themed but may just get to hang up all year! ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!   I will be back soonest with more crafty goodness to share! :)

More shadow boxes!

Heeey there!  How is your weekend going?!  I have a few more shadow box projects to share with you guys today!  The first one I showed you  was made from a 12 x 12 piece of card stock.  I have one of those today and one made from a piece of 8.5 x 11!!  It is a smaller, but just as cute variety! LOL  Here is the 12 x 12 one:

Fa, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, laaaaaa....

Side view!

Stamp is from Tags til Christmas!  Stamped in real Red and punched with the corresponding label punch. Stocking stamps are from Open Sleigh and stamped in Real Red and Old Olive.

Tree from the Framelits Holiday collection and ornament from the Framelits Holiday Ornament collection. Paper is from Be of Good Cheer DSP pack.  I added a snowfall by tearing Whisper White topping it with Dazzling Diamonds to the bottom!

Gingerbread guys from Framelits Holiday collection and stamp set is Scentsational Season.

Stamps are from Joyous Celebration and stamped in Real Red and Old Olive. Small stamp is punched form the small oval punch.
This cute little guy is made from an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper!
