Christmas card Sunday #34, a crazy thing and some roof trusses!

Hello to you!  Today's post is kind of a hodge podge of stuff so grab a cuppa and let's hang out together for a little while!  First of all, want to know a crazy thing?!!!  Today marks a blog milestone for me.  Today's post is my 1000th post!!!  Isn't that crazy!!!  1000 posts!!!  I am just so excited I could pee!!!! Thank you for always stopping by and checking things out and keeping me motivated to keep on posting!  :)

Ok, on to the business part of why you are here!  I made my 34th Christmas card of the year today!  Want to see?  Of course you do....otherwise you would be somewhere else doing something else right now! LOL Here it is:

It is Rudolph! I made the frame using the Scallop Border punch and a 3 x 3 square of card stock.

The background piece is embossed with the Stripes EF.  That one just feels Christmas-y to me!  Well actually it feels Christmas-y present to me! LOL

The Details:
Stamps: Joyous Celebrations (retired)
Paper: Glorious Green (retired), Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Punches and Dies: Scallop Border,  Word Window punch. Modern Label punch and Stripes EF
Extras: Pearls, Rhinestones and Dimensionals

Fa, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, laaaaaaaaa, la!

Also, thought I would share some news that may be quite dull to you, but is super, duper exciting to me!!!  As I have mentioned, we are building an addition onto our house.  This morning we got the last of the roof trusses lifted and stood up!!!!!!  Yay!!  We are doing this ourselves.  We haven't hired builders or a construction crew...we are the crew! :)  It has been a really interesting and rewarding process so far, but lots and lots of hard work.  Here are a few shots of the trusses in place:

The last five are bundled together until the end wall gets built.   Exciting, exciting stuff!!!

Ok, I think I have about typed your ears off so I am going to scoot!  I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend though!  I will be back soonest with more to share! :)

  1. I like your cute Rudolph card! That's a lot of roof tresses to get up without a crane!
