Language of Love!

Hello there!  I made a simple card this morning and I wanted to share it with you!  I pulled out a ton of things to get started and just kept coming back to this very basic, kind of plain design.    I think that sometimes a simpler card just says so much.  Take a look:

I considered stamping the background and filling up all of that space and decided against it.

I made a plain ole' banner and stamped and punched one heart.  I added it with dimensionals though to give the card a little 3d-i-ness.  (Technical term of the day!)

I think this stamp is very sweet!  I love that it says "love" in so many ways!!  One tiny rhinestone to dress the whole thing up and we are done! :)

The details:
Stamps: Language of Love
Paper: Real Red, Whisper White and Silver Glimmer paper
Ink: Real Red
Punches and Dies: Large Heart
Extras: Rhinestones. Piercing tool and grid and Dimensionals

I am working on more mudding and sanding in our new addition today, so I better scoot!

Hope that you have a day filled with love and other good things!

A little bit of love, a yummy breakfast and the sweetest face ever!

Hey there!  Bittersweet day here today.  We lost our dog of nearly 13 years last night.  We knew it was coming because he was getting up there in age and has been having some health problems.    He was a challenging beast-ie to say the least.  He was grouchy most of the time and wasn't above growling at the hand that fed him!  He was always a protector of all things little though.  He always kept an eye on our cats and animals smaller than him.  He was a part of the family and his absence will definitely be noticed.

Bear, here's hoping your cookie jar will always be full and your chew toys will always be plentiful.
*********************************************************

I had lunch with a dear old friend today.  We try to get together every couple of weeks for lunch, but both of our schedules have been pretty nutty so it has been a while.  We had a really nice visit!  I wanted to make her a fun little basket.  Want to see?
It is made from an 8" x 8" square and holds a ton of chocolate goodness.
Here is a view from the top!

I did a little bit of stamping on each side!

This is such a fun little box to make!

To make this box you score it at 2 3/4" from one side and flip it around and do the same on the other side. (So that it runs parallel to the first one.) Turn it once and do the same thing so you are scoring a tic tac toe looking grid.  To get the corners to fold in, score from each corner tip to the corner of the center square and then fold on all of your score lines.  Punch holes in each point and run a ribbon through the holes and tie!

There you have it! :)

My daughter sent me a Pinterest link to cinnamon buns made in a waffle maker.  I promised her that the next time she came for a visit we would try it!  Guess what we had for breakfast?!

I must say they are quite yummy!

Also, wanted to share a couple of pictures of our grand pumpkin with you!

Look at that sweet face!

She has the prettiest smile ever!

I am total mush around this little lady!

If you have any questions about this project feel free to send me an email! I hope you have a great day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

You & Me!

Hi there!  Ever sit down to make a quick little project and it winds up taking all day?!  I have had one of those days today!  I started working on my project this morning, but then things kept coming up that required my attention so here it is almost 5:30 and I am just now sitting down to share it with you!  Guess late is better than never though, right?! :)  Here is my quick little project (that took all day long to make!) LOL

It is a tabletop sitting love note!  I think the sweet little hearts on top almost make it look like an ice cream sundae! Lots of fun, happy doo-dads to look at on this project!  Would you like some details?

I cut a piece of card stock at 5" x 10 1/2".

I scored it at 3 1/2" and at 7".

I folded it up so that it looked like this! ^

While it was all folded I cut off the corners so when I opened it up they were all even and perfectly matched.

I stamped the background with the little heart from the Sale-A-Bration set Banner Blast (which you will be able to get free soon through Sale-A-Bration which starts in one little week!!!!)  I added three die cuts from the Deco Labels Framelits as the center working space.  I  sponged all the edges first though to antique it a bit.

To make the first panel I punched the bird and leaves from the Two Step bird punch. Then I did a little bit of stamping using the Happy Watercolor set.

The second panel is stamped using the Perfect Pennants set.  The silver glimmer heart is punched from the Two Step Owl punch.

The third panel has a hand cut arrow tucked behind a sweet sentiment from the Love You to the Moon stamp set.  I made the rose from the new Spiral Flowers Big Shot die.  The leaves are punched from the Two Step Bird punch.  (They are actually the birdie wing!)

Here is a close up shot of the flower.  I used my hot glue gun to hold it all together!

Here is the finished project again!

The details:
Stamps: Banner Blast (Sale-A-Bration), Happy Watercolor and Love You to the Moon and Back
Paper: Blushing Bride, Real Red, Garden Green and Very Vanilla
Ink: Primrose Petals, Soft Suede and Silver Glimmer Paper
Punches and Dies: Two Set Bird and Owl punches, Hearts A Flutter Framelits, Deco Label Framelits and Spiral Flower Big Shot Die
Extras: Pearls

I hope that you have had a wonderful day! I will be back soonest with more to share!

Paper Pumpkin strikes again!

Hello!  Have you gotten your Paper Pumpkin yet this month?!  I played with mine this morning!  What a fun kit it was this month!!  Here is what arrived in my happy orange box:

It is a Valentine's Day/Love themed kit!  There is a basic gray stampin' spot hiding under there somewhere too! You can make 4 cards or tear the whole thing apart and make lots of other different things! It comes with stickers, adorable stamps, card bases (which this month you could flip either way...they are crumb cake colored on one side and either blue or orange on the flip side!!) and four envelopes.

These are the ideas that come with it.  Cute, huh?!

This is one of the cards I made using the kit!  I added a few things form my stash to jazz it up some!

Lots of layers going on here! :)

Here is another card I made using the stamps that come in the kit.

Also, this month there was a fun little surprise tucked into the box!  Take a look at my freebie!!!
Wooo hooooo!

There is talk around the Paper Pumpkin water cooler that these kits are just going to keep getting better and better!  They were fun before, but kind of basic so it is my understanding that they are going to be adding a little more substance to the kits!  Scoooore!  I am really enjoying my pumpkin kits every month!

If you would like to get a Paper pumpkin kit every month too you can!!!  Take a look over there on my side bar --------------------> and click on the Paper Pumpkin picture for more details!!

Ok, I am off to take advantage of the rest of this weekend!  Have a wonderful day!

You make me happy!

Hey there!  It's Fridaaaaaay! :)  Phew!  What a busy day it has been too! I have been running around all over the place getting stuff done today! I did stop long enough to make a little something though!   My days are always better when I manage  to squeeze in a little creative time!

This is made from the Milk Carton Die!  It is the cutest little treat holder ever!  It only measures about 3" tall!  You can tie it shut on the top or glue it if you want it to stay closed.  It opens like a little milk carton!

This is what it looks like flat.  I just ran the die through the Big Shot.  It comes out cut, scored and ready to be stamped, folded and assembled!

After I stamped, folded and assembled the little guy I glued the top shut and punched little holes using my Crop-O-Dile.  I threaded through some of the new gorgeous silver ribbon and made a little tie closure.  I made a carnation out  of Whisper White and the 7/8" Scallop punch.  I ran the edges along the Real Red stamp pad and tucked a rhinestone into the center.

The banner is from the Perfect Pennants set in the Occasions holiday catalog (which you can view by clicking on the picture over there ---------> on my sidebar).I made the arrow by stamping the long banner from the same set and fussy cutting it.  I cut it into pieces and tucked one behind each side of my  happy pennant and added the arrow tip to the front.  The arrow tip is half of a small square that I cut by hand. The small hearts are punched from Silver Glimmer paper using the Two step Owl Builder punch.

Here is a different angle.

Here is the finished project again! I love these little boxes!  They can be dressed up for so many different occasions!

Want to see something else cute?!  (even cuter than that cute treat box I just shared with you?!)

Our grand pumpkin!!!  She is two and a half months now!

She is the sweetest little person!  As of her well baby visit this week she now measures two feet tall!  Isn't that the cutest thing?!  Two feet tall! :)

Sleepy girl!  She seriously melts my heart! :)

Ok, on that sweet note I am off to do more dry wall sanding in our addition!  I am beginning to wonder if  will ever finish! LOL  Have a great day and do something creative!  It is good for you!

Much love!
