Scallop Tag Topper punch!!

Can you say that three times really fast?!  Scallop tag top...LOL  I must confess that I am in stampin' love with this fun new punch!!  When I first eye spied it I didn't think it was very remarkable at all.......boy oh boy was I wrong!  I bought it out of total peer pressure because I am weak like that, but it has quickly risen to the very top of my must save it if I am evacuating the house quickly list!!  It is such a fun punch!  I am all about the punches anyhow and when I can use a punch for more than it's intended punch use I am happy as a clam on the sea's sunny shore!!  So, what does this big guy do, you may be asking?!  Well, it beautifully adorns the top of a tag or bookmark!  It has a rounded edge and is just simply pretty!  Here is a tag made using it:

Look at that pretty top!!  I made the fun flower by adhering 6 scallop punched circles together and then gluing the flat back side down onto the tag.  The flower pot is made using the Pennant punch.  I cut off the bottom of one and glued the top half of a second one on the top of this one to create the lip. The sentiment is from one of the My Paper Pumpkin kits.

Another view!  It would be tough to use this as a book mark, but it would be pretty darn cute dangling off of a gift!

Another fun use for this punch is boxes!!!  I mean...who knew?!!  Take a look at his cutie:

The top is scalloped tag top punched!

This would hold a handful of chocolate goodness or a stack of those cute mini post it notes!!  I found this box on the site of the very talented Julie Davison. (via Pinterest!)

Here is another box that you can throw together and scallop tag top punch!

This one can hold candy,  chapstick, pencils or pens, hand sanitizer or chocolate!

Here is another one:

Found this one on Pinterest too, but wasn't able to find the original creator. If it is yours please let me know!  It is ca-ute!!!

Here are the three of them together for a size comparison!

I will include dimensions at the end of the post!

This is one of the oh so trendy buckle cards that is showing up all over the place!  I believe these were originally designed by Stampin T.  They are really fun to make and look all packaged up and ready to go once you tie that ribbon in place!

The ribbon unties and the card opens so that you can write your message!  Super cute card idea!! Tons of possibilities and unlimited color/image combinations!

So, see!!  That punch is way more versatile than just a plain ole punch!!  Do you own one yet?!  You need one, trust me! LOL

  2. I have this too!!! I bought both of them because I thought they would dress up journaling strips in my scrapbooking, and then saw how to make the little treat holder at a meeting and I was hooked.
