You are amazing!

Hello there!  Hope you are enjoying the weekend! I started it out in one of my favorite ways...I have been playing in my stamp room all morning!  It's such good therapy to be creative and usually puts me in the best mood! :)  I thought I would challenge myself to play with a few things I hadn't even opened up yet! (I've just been so behind lately!) Fun, fun, fun!!  Once I narrowed it down to the things I wanted to use, I got busy! I tried several different combos and layouts and finally decided on this:

Now if you know anything about me at all you know I am a pink girl!  Love it!!  Every shade, with polka dots, by itself, with any color...love, love, love it!  It truly is my signature color!  It's my most common go to and usually makes its way onto most of my projects!  I just cannot say enough good things about it! LOL  My card today uses the beautiful Rose Red shade of pink! I paired it with gold, Very Vanilla and Basic Black.  I did all of the complimentary stamping in shades of Blushing Bride.

I'm really loving the Gold Foil sheets!  They just add so much to a project!  It's like a happy little pop of sunny goodness!  I used it to cut the cascadng dragonflies.  The new dragonfly die thinlits are absolutely beautiful!  I see lots of those in my future.

Here are the details and products I used to create this card.  The pictures link to my online store if you'd like to do some shopping!

Ok, I am off to weekend!! Hope yours is a great one! I will be back soonest with more to share!

Kind heart!

Hey there!  Happy Friday!  I've been running all over the place today getting things ticked off my to do list!  Finally looked up at the clock to realize how late it had gotten...yikes!! Thought I better stop by and post the card I made before today turned into tomorrow! LOL  I bought this stamp set not quite sure what I would use it for, but I knew I had to have it!  It is just so sweet!  It is called Swan Lake and it's simply beautiful!   Here is what I decided to do with it:

Isn't that swan just so pretty?!  She just exudes grace and elegance and calm!  I stamped her and cut her out and adhered her over the water colored lake.

I used a 1 1/2" circle punch to create the setting sun.  I colored inside the negative with the awesome new water color pencils and then blended it with an aqua painter.  The sky and lake are also made with the pencils and aqua painter.  I wanted to give it a soft look.

Happy swimming sweet swan!

Here are the goodies I used to create  this little card!  You can click on any picture to head over to my online store and purchase anything you need to re-create a card like this one.

Love Note!

Hello there!  How are you today?  I was feeling creative this morning, so I coffee-ed myself on up and headed straight to my stamp room.  Stampin' Up! has so many fun new stamp sets right now and I had a pile of them sitting on my table just begging to be inked up!  I randomly chose a couple and just started playing around and this is what I came up with:

This is a combination of two different stamp sets and several layers of paper (a thinlit die cut, more paper and some bling)!

Side view of all the fun layers! I also added Wink of Stella to the kiss-y lips for a little bit of extra sparkle!

Here are the details for this little guy:

Ok, I am off to run errands!  I hope that you have a wonderful day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

You lift me up!

Well, hello there!  It's been a while!  In fact, it's been way too long! I seem to be at one of those wacky pivotal places in my life and I've kind of been all over the place.  I am always running around busy, busy, busy, but at the end of each day I find myself questioning what I actually accomplished. Ever been there?!  We have lots going on in our lives right now!  There are some really wonderful things happening!  I am watching my amazing children grow into their own people and navigate the world on their own terms.  We have gorgeous (and I do mean GORGEOUS!!) grand babies in our lives that just gush happiness and give me the warm and fuzzies on the daily!  We are in the middle of a very large renovation project with our home and hubby and I are working better as a team now than we ever have. However, there are also some challenging things going on in our lives that require a lot of our mental, physical and emotional energy.  As a result, recently, I often feel myself feeling spread much too thin; like too little butter over dry toast.  I suppose life is just like that though!  I'm really not fussing or complaining!   I am a happy person by nature and I sincerely feel very fortunate every single day for the wonderful life I have. :)  I have been struggling a bit lately though.  I have fallen hard off the creative band wagon and I am finding it difficult to squeeze everything into my day anymore. Sadly, that is often an area that gets shoved to the bottom of my to do list.  In thinking about all things life related  I have decided I really, really miss it! It is such good therapy to create!!  I am creative by nature and am happiest when I am messy in colors and mediums up to my eyeballs! Ink on my fingers...oh yeah!!  Paint on my clothes...bring it!!  Glitter on my face...happiest when I sparkle!!  So,  I have decided that I need to get back to creating more regularly as a mental health boost, a positive shot of vitamin creativity,  and quite frankly just a little bit of good ole' me time!!  If you have made it to the bottom of my lengthy diatribe, I thank you for listening!  On to a little something I put together in my craft room today and the real reason you stop by!

A friend asked me last night if I could help her figure out the how to's behind a card she saw on line.  I looked for a quick tut, but was unable to find one.  So, I pulled out some scrap paper and played until I figured out the fiddly details!  Here is the card I made which is air born (no pun intended *giggles!) and on its way to her as I type!

This card uses a piece of card stock 5 1/2" x 10 1/4" as a base.

You score @1 3/4" and 6" and fold both pieces inward.

Decorate both panels and viola!  It leaves the inside blank and ready for your message!

This is a quick fun card to make! :)
