Wheat and Lavender

Hello there!  Friday Color Me Beautiful challenge time!!  This week's challenge was just that!!  A REAL challenge!  I had to work hard to make this one come together!!  I just love that though!  Thinking outside of the box and stretching us past our comfort zones is really a good thing!!  After you clean up all of the waded up and discarded attempts from the floor! LOL  Take a look at the color palette:

Now if you are a purple person this will be right up your alley!!  I try and try and try, but I just am not a purple kind of girl! LOL  I mean it is a beautiful color, but it just doesn't feel like me!

Here are the Stampin Up! colors that we are asking you to use:

Seeeeeee....kind of pretty, huh?!  Ok, after many, many, many attempts at making these colors play nice together this is what came out of my craft room for this challenge!

I did manage to use all four of the colors!  Yay!  I also threw in a whole lot of extra!!  Embossing folders and Big Shot dies, punches, rhinestones and a gel pen...OH MY!!

I am on a banner kick so this seemed like  the logical thing for me to do! :)

I semi crunched my flower up to give it a little bit of interest!  If you know me though, you know that it made my eyebrows twitch to do it!  I like things to look neat and clean!   That would be kind of a hop out of my box rather than just a mild step!  Go me! LOL

I sure hope you will come over and visit us at Color Me Beautiful!  We would love to have you stop by and would really, really love to have you play along! :)    See you there!

Have a wonderful day! :)

  7. Just wanted to pop in and leave ya some love on this wonderful card! The banner piece is awesome and I had to laugh at your flower comment! I have the opposite tendency. If it's too flat, it drives me crazy... I want to crumble and texture everything!
