Hello and how are you today? Doing well, I hope! Have you ever heard the expression Pay it Forward or better yet, paid it forward yourself? Once a couple of years ago I found myself in a situation where I was far away from home and my hubby and kids. I was taking care of a very dear loved one (Hiya Mom!!) and she was away from her home as well. We spent almost two months in a hospital/rehabilitation setting. I say we because I practically lived there with her! The nurses and therapists were some of the most amazing, kind, giving people I have ever met in my life. My mom happens to be the strongest person I know and she came out the other side of this like a true champ with their help!! ((I am so unbelievably proud of her and her awesome-ness!)) Anyhow, while I was there several of my own amazing folks back home sent me little things that kept me going. I received care packages, a giant stuffed dog and flowers and cards! One of the kindest gifts that I received though was a stack of thank you cards from a very sweet friend (Thank you again and again Carolyn!!). They meant so much to me because I was able to hand them out near the end of our stay and let the people there know just how much they meant to me!! I have a friend who is going through a similar situation right now and so I thought I would pay it forward. I spent the morning putting together a small box with some goodies for her and a stack of thank you cards for her to pass on. Thought I would share some of those cards with you here today.
I kept them simple, but the thought is there. I hope that this little box will offer some strength to this very amazing woman. She has been a good friend to me for years and I am so very happy to be able to pay it forward to her!
Have a great day! I will be back soonest with more to share!
These are lovely! I'm sure they will be greatly appreciated too!
ReplyDeleteThis just reminded me that I never got the card for you in the mail...can I still send it to you?
