A little bit of love, a yummy breakfast and the sweetest face ever!

Hey there!  Bittersweet day here today.  We lost our dog of nearly 13 years last night.  We knew it was coming because he was getting up there in age and has been having some health problems.    He was a challenging beast-ie to say the least.  He was grouchy most of the time and wasn't above growling at the hand that fed him!  He was always a protector of all things little though.  He always kept an eye on our cats and animals smaller than him.  He was a part of the family and his absence will definitely be noticed.

Bear, here's hoping your cookie jar will always be full and your chew toys will always be plentiful.

I had lunch with a dear old friend today.  We try to get together every couple of weeks for lunch, but both of our schedules have been pretty nutty so it has been a while.  We had a really nice visit!  I wanted to make her a fun little basket.  Want to see?
It is made from an 8" x 8" square and holds a ton of chocolate goodness.
Here is a view from the top!

I did a little bit of stamping on each side!

This is such a fun little box to make!

To make this box you score it at 2 3/4" from one side and flip it around and do the same on the other side. (So that it runs parallel to the first one.) Turn it once and do the same thing so you are scoring a tic tac toe looking grid.  To get the corners to fold in, score from each corner tip to the corner of the center square and then fold on all of your score lines.  Punch holes in each point and run a ribbon through the holes and tie!

There you have it! :)

My daughter sent me a Pinterest link to cinnamon buns made in a waffle maker.  I promised her that the next time she came for a visit we would try it!  Guess what we had for breakfast?!

I must say they are quite yummy!

Also, wanted to share a couple of pictures of our grand pumpkin with you!

Look at that sweet face!

She has the prettiest smile ever!

I am total mush around this little lady!

If you have any questions about this project feel free to send me an email! I hope you have a great day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

  2. Your treat holder is fantastic! I like the shape and colors. It's a unique design instead of the same ole' thing that everyone else does. Those waffle thingz sound yummy!
