You're my hero!

Hello there! How is your week going?!  This one seems to have zipped right on by!  I wanted to stop in and share  a couple of things I made with you today. It is kind of an odd couple of things. Not odd like weird, but odd because they have nothing to do with one another. They don't coordinate or match or even look like they belong together!   They both, however, wound up going into the same envelope and getting mailed to the same place!   My sweet, handsome hubby and also sweet and handsome son happen to volunteer for our local fire dept and rescue squad.  We have a friend that volunteers for his local fire dept in another state and so they all exchanged t-shirts from their departments. Kinda cool, I think!  Anyhow, when I mailed his shirt I wanted to include a little something for his wife and that is why they do not match!   Ok, enough words!  Onto the pictures!

This is the card that I sent to go with his t-shirt!  Most appropriate I thought!  I used the You're My Hero stamp set and went with masculine blues.

I really love this stamp set!  The siren noise stamp is just too cute! I added some shadow under the tires with my Blender pen and some Smoky Slate ink.

I wanted to make just a little something to tuck into the envelope for his sweetie, so I grabbed a plain pad of paper and dressed it up!  I am such a list maker that I always have oodles of paper around!  My theory is that a pretty pad of paper makes for a happy list!!  (Even if it has stinky stuff on it like laundry and grocery shopping!) LOL  Here is this pad all dressed up:

Nothing too fancy, but some fun colors and a pretty initial laden flower! I added a strip of Whisper White along the edge and then tore a strip of  Daffodil Delight and added it on to the seam. Punched a quick flower, stamped a quick initial and pop dotted that big guy right on there!  Filled in the empty space with the smallest stamp from Spiral Spins (loving that set!!) and added a Rhinestone for just a smidge of shimmer and called it done!

This is what it looked like on the inside!  Much nicer than just a plain ole pad of paper I think!
