Life is wonderful!

Hello there!  How was your weekend?  We had a super  busy one, but it was very nice! :)  I had a demonstrator's meeting yesterday which was a ton of fun!  We always have a swap and this month the theme was masculine cards!  I always have a hard time making masculine cards.  I like to make things cutsey or frilly or sparkle with bling and since most masculine cards are absent of those things I struggle! LOL  After a couple of attempts this is what I came up with:

I went with earthy boy colors! LOL  Shades of brown and blue go together so well!  I stamped the cool World Map stamp on two layers of the card and hand cut my banner.    I wrapped baker's twine around my sentiment and sponged the edges to give it a little bit of a worn look.  It is punched out with the Decorative Label punch.  I did add some bling, but I colored it blue so that hardly counts, right?! *big, cheesy grin!*

I also roughed up the edges on a couple of pieces.  I was going for sort of a torn, old grungy map look!

We had a great meeting!  I just love getting together with stamping friends!  We learned a fun new craft too!  I will be back tomorrow to tell you more about that!

Have a wonderful day!  I will be back soonest!
