I used an image from the Gently Falling stamp set. It is a 2 step stamp set and normally I would get my color from the solid image half of the 2 step stamp process, but today I stamped just the outline image and colored it in with my markers. I used a More Mustard marker, which sadly has retired. It is the perfect fall color though, so I threw caution to the wind and just went for it. :)
After I colored it in I went back over the edges and stems of the leaf trying to create some shadow and depth of color. I wanted it to look like a leaf in mid color change mode! I have decided to take our challenge this week a step farther and try to incorporate more marker coloring into my projects...because it is just plain ole fun! LOL

I can't believe how you're still cranking out the cards while you're building an addition on your house and I mean that literally - you're building it! Cute card as usual.
ReplyDeleteYour leaf looks fantastic and I love how you used the modern label as accent tabs. Very pretty!
