Just breathe...

Hello there!  Well, it's only Tuesday, but it's already been one of those (*rolls eyes!*) kind of weeks. I could definitely use a little time away!  The beach is calling to me, as it so often does.  Are you a beach person? I love, love, (cannot stress enough!!) love the beach!!  It is sincerely my happy place.  Toes in the sand, salt water breezes blowing my hair messy and the sound of the ocean rushing in and rolling out.  It sincerely soothes my soul. My card today was completely inspired by it!  Want to see?

Doesn't that make you just want to dig your piggies into the cool, wet sand and listen to the day waste away?  Man, it does me! I started by creating a Pool Party card base and then cut out the oval using the Over Layering Framelits.  I made sand by tearing some Crumb Cake paper and then colored the top with Wink of Stella and added a few seashell stamps!  No day at the beach is complete without some cool drinks, so I stamped and added those as well!

I added the waves on the inside using the Seasonal Layers Framelits and colored the tops with a White Gel pen and then added more Wink of Stella for some extra sea sparkle!

Here it is laying flat with the waves peeking through!  The sea gulls flying up above are from the High Tide stamp set. Can't you just hear them cawing away?

This is what the inside looks like. I added more sand using the same tearing technique as on the front.

((Now, I really, really want to go to the beach!  LOL))

Here are the products I used to make my card today.  You can find everything you need to make a beach card of your own (sand not included! *giggles!*) in my online store.  Click any picture below and it will take you right to it!

I hope that you have a great day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!
